To this end, Wuping County focuses on the three key links of urban and rural life, agricultural irrigation, and industrial water, and coordinates the promotion of water conservation. In terms of water conservation in urban and rural life, we have adhered to the concept of "district-based renewal", gradually promoted the renovation of old residential areas, and implemented one meter per household, reducing the leakage rate of the urban water supply network from 27% in 2020 to 8.12% by the end of 2023. 28 smart cloud toilets were built and renovated to save water and reduce emissions. At the same time, we will coordinate and promote the diversion of rain and sewage in urban areas, and collect rainwater for urban greening and irrigation. In terms of agricultural water conservation, the implementation of high-standard farmland efficient water-saving and agricultural water and fertilizer integration projects, encourage agricultural enterprises to transform and upgrade, the development of sprinkler irrigation, dropper, micro irrigation and other tea orchards efficient water-saving irrigation area of 121,800 mu. Innovate and carry out pilot projects for the resource utilization of rural domestic sewage, and use the treated domestic sewage in oxidation ponds for agricultural irrigation. In terms of industrial water conservation, the water consumption of industrial added value is taken as the core index of the industry-oriented catalog, and the new display industry with ecological water-saving and high scientific and technological content is scientifically selected and developed. Establish advanced models, promote the construction of circulating water treatment facilities, promote the reuse of reclaimed water, strictly supervise industrial water, strengthen the metering and management of industrial water, and promote the creation of key water-using enterprises and water efficiency "leaders" in parks.

In 2021, Wuping County was hit by a once-in-60-year drought, and the government departments promptly launched an emergency response to the drought, implementing planned water use for industrial enterprises and service units with large water consumption, using river water for special industries such as car washes and construction sites, and strictly prohibiting the use of tap water, and suspending the business of service establishments with high water consumption to tide over the water shortage. The second is to strengthen propaganda and education. Through the construction of water culture parks, water ecology museums, and the development of water-saving practices that the masses are interested in, the awareness of water conservation has been enhanced. The third is to pay attention to policy incentives. A series of incentive policies have been formulated, and 2000~3000 yuan will be awarded to units, enterprises, and communities that have successfully created water-saving standards, and water-saving faucets will be distributed to the masses as prizes.
