On April 20, the 7,500-space LNG dual-fuel vehicle ro-ro ship built by Fujian Mawei Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Mawei Shipbuilding") for Guangzhou Ocean Automobile Shipping Co., Ltd. was successfully undocked in Mawei Shipyard Area, Coludao, Lianjiang, Fujian. On the same day, the 7,000-car LNG dual-fuel vehicle ro-ro ship built for the company by Guangzhou Shipbuilding International, a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Group, was undocked on Nansharon Cave Island in Guangzhou.

This is after the first newbuilding of the offshore automobile ship was undocked in Xiamen Heavy Industry on March 25, two new LNG dual-fuel vehicle ro-ro ships were successfully undocked and launched, which will be delivered and put into operation on the company's routes in July and September this year respectively.

It is understood that the 7,500-parking LNG dual-fuel vehicle ro-ro ship undocked this time is the first automobile ro-ro ship independently built by Mawei Shipbuilding, which has a century-old shipbuilding history. The total length of the ship is 199.9 meters, the distance between the perpendicular lines is 195.6 meters, the width is 38 meters, the depth is 14.8 meters, the design draft is 8.65 meters, the maximum draft is 10 meters, the propulsion system is designed as a single engine and a single propeller, using LNG dual-fuel main engine, single bow side thruster, electric RORO system, and the cargo hold is equipped with 13 layers of vehicle deck, which is mainly used for the shipment of various types of vehicles including passenger cars, trucks, construction machinery and new energy vehicles.

The 7,000-car LNG dual-fuel vehicle ro-ro ship built by Guangzhou Shipyard International is designed by Shanghai Ship Research and Design Institute (SDARI), with a total length of 199.9 meters, a width of 38 meters, a depth of 14.8 meters, a design draft of 8.6 meters, and a speed of 19 knots. The whole ship can be loaded with lithium battery vehicles, and the 2nd deck can also be loaded with hydrogen fuel vehicles and LNG fuel vehicles, which is the first ship in the world to meet the requirements of the China Classification Society's "Safety Technical Guidelines for Ro-Ro Transportation of New Energy Vehicles".
