A few days ago, we obtained a set of official pictures of the Leopard 8 from the Formula Leopard Automobile. As the second model of Formula Leopard Automobile, the Leopard 8 is positioned higher than the Leopard 5, priced at 500,000 yuan, and will be officially launched in the third quarter of this year.
The Formula Leopard Leopard Leopard 8 still adopts a hard-core style shape, continuing the exterior design style of the Leopard 5, with a more complex front grille shape and the addition of a black paint guard. The roof is also equipped with LiDAR, a side and rear camera on the front fenders, and the Eye of the Gods advanced intelligent driving assistance system, which will support urban and high-speed NOA functions in the future.
The Leopard 8 has a simpler side with concealed door handles, black wheel arches, and a "super lock" element on the side skirts. At the rear, the Leopard 8 features a wrap-around spare wheel cover and a full-size spare tire, a side-opening tailgate and a recognizable taillight when lit.

In terms of dimensions, the Leopard 8 is about 5,200 mm long, 2,000 mm wide, 1,900 mm high, has a wheelbase of 2,920 mm, and will be available in two seating layouts, 6 and 7 seats. For comparison purposes, the tank 700 Hi4-T has a length, width and height of 5090/2061/1952 mm and a wheelbase of 3000 mm.
The Leopard 8 is based on BYD's DMO super hybrid off-road platform and will be equipped with a powertrain consisting of a 2.0-liter high-power engine and an electric motor, but the specific power and range information has not been released at present. In addition, the car will also be equipped with the Yunnan-P active hydraulic body control system, which supports independent adjustment of the height of the four wheels, soft and hard adjustment and other functions.
