Biodiversity conservation in Manyuan Village
The China Alpine Plant Conservation Action is the world's first alpine plant public welfare action, which is a public welfare project jointly established by Botanical Doctor and Yunnan Center for Biological and Cultural Diversity. The China Alpine Plant Conservation Action has established the Xishuangbanna Ethnic Biological Culture Demonstration Park in Manyuan Village to work with the villagers here to protect alpine plants. At the same time, in order to better promote the national biological culture demonstration garden project, the China Alpine Plant Protection Action Project has set up courtyard planting demonstration households in each demonstration park, encouraging them to plant alpine plants in their own courtyards and driving other villagers to form large-scale planting.
Not only that, Manyuan Village is also a provincial-level demonstration site for the protection of the Ryushan Natural Sacred Land for biodiversity and a demonstration village for the protection project of traditional Dai medicine community. From June 22 to 24, 2021, the signing ceremony of the GEF-UNDP-Ministry of Ecology and Environment of China "Access to Biological Genetic Resources and Benefit-sharing Agreement" was held in Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. On August 30, the signing commemorative plaque of the Global Environment Facility-United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of the People's Republic of China (MEE) was completed.

In 2018, Plant Doctor became a pilot enterprise of the GEF ABS project, and its "Biodiversity-Alpine Plant Conservation Action" was officially established as a national ABS project.
