Paris, April 17 (Xinhua) -- On April 17, when the Paris Olympics ushered in the 100-day countdown, French sports circles gathered at the temporary Grand Palace to hold a grand celebration, and the opening ceremony dress of the French Olympic and Paralympic delegation designed by the famous French fashion brand Berluti (Berluti) was also officially unveiled for the first time.

The celebration was organized by the French Ministry of Sport, the French Olympic Committee, the French Paralympic Committee and the Paris Organising Committee. More than 100 members of the French national team from all disciplines came to celebrate the historic occasion, including 37 athletes who have already qualified for the Paris Olympics.

"It's the last 100 days, time flies, we've been training for so long, the last time is fleeting," Rio 2016 Olympic champion and boxer Mosseli said with a laugh. "I want to be at the opening ceremony, I want to be a flag bearer. ”

The dress is decorated in navy blue, with a gradient red and blue pattern on the lapels of the jacket, inspired by the French flag and the brand's signature gradient leather shoes.

"Inspired by tuxedos, this gown uses high-quality fabrics and gradient effects to create a French elegance with comfort in mind," says the head of the brand from Berluti.

In terms of pants and shoes, male athletes will wear plain trousers and sneakers that match suits. Female athletes have an additional option, which can be paired with a wrap-around skirt and patent leather shoes.

"We'll be standing for a long time at the ceremony, so we have a pair of sneakers that match the uniform well. As athletes, we strive for precision, we manage to push the envelope, and the more we look at the uniform, the more we see the details and the thoughts. We will be very proud to represent France through this outfit," said Tokyo Olympic fencing champion Canon.

The temporary Grand Palais, where the day's events took place, is across the Champ de Mars from the Eiffel Tower. After the Grand Palais closed for renovation at the end of 2020, it was used as a temporary pavilion. During the Games, it will also be transformed into a competition venue and named the Champ de Mars Stadium, where wrestling and judo competitions will be held.

The Paris Olympics will be held from 26 July to 11 August, and the Paralympic Games will be held from 28 August to 8 September.
