Routine 1: Falsely claiming to have internal channels
Criminals claim to have official ticketing channels on online platforms, or that insiders can buy concert tickets, so as to attract fans to take the bait. When fans are ready to buy tickets, they will ask for payment for various reasons such as deposits, hardship fees, etc., and even say that they need to pay again before the tickets can be issued, so as to defraud more money. When fans found out that they had been deceived and asked for a refund, they had already been blocked.
Routine 2: "Transfer tickets with tears"
On the eve of the concert, on major social platforms, there will always be a large number of "sad people" out of thin air, and their excuses are surprisingly consistent: "I don't want to break up with the object and don't want to go" and "tearfully transfer without a price increase"...... It seems to be very "sincere", but in fact, this is all a fraud method of criminals. Criminals often strike up with victims on second-hand trading websites, and block them after receiving the transfer.
Trick 3: Send a fake website link
Criminals lurk in various group chats on social platforms in advance to release information about concert tickets. After a fan "hooks" and adds friends, criminals will avoid the formal trading platform, send fake website links to fans, and ask for payment through the website. Most fans are in a hurry to buy tickets and will pay directly, but they did not expect to fall into the trap.
Routine 4: Selling high-imitation fake tickets
Near the opening, around the concert venue, there are often some people peddling "scalper tickets". These tickets are not only at a higher premium, but most of them are high-imitation fake tickets, and when fans are ready to enter the theater with their tickets, they find out that they have been deceived.
Hou Xinmiao, a researcher at the People's Data Research Institute, said that at present, the entertainment market is hot, and criminals have seized the psychology of fans and friends to ask for tickets to commit fraud.
The Notice of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Ministry of Public Security on Further Strengthening the Standardized Management of Large-scale For-profit Performance Activities and Promoting the Healthy and Orderly Development of the Performance Market issued in September 2023 stipulates that large-scale performance activities will implement a real-name ticket purchase and real-name admission system, and each performance can only purchase one ticket per ID document, and the identity information of the ticket buyer and the attendee will be consistent.
