As a regional medical center and an "age-friendly hospital", Shanghai Tongren Hospital has carried out a number of efforts in recent years in terms of environment, service, technology and digital for the elderly. Since 2018, Changning District has actively advocated the construction of dementia-friendly communities for the elderly, improved the standard system for dementia for the elderly, and took the lead in promulgating "one guideline, two standards and one guideline", namely the "Guidelines for the Construction of Elderly Dementia-Friendly Urban Areas in Changning District", "Standards for the Construction of Dementia-friendly Communities for the Elderly in Changning District", "Guidelines for Community and Home Dementia Care in Changning District" and "Practical Guidelines for the Construction of Dementia-Friendly Communities for the Elderly in Changning District".
