Safeguarding national security is everyone's responsibility and can be done. On the occasion of the 9th National Security Education Day, in order to further enhance the national security awareness of the whole people, promote the development of national security publicity and education, and create a safe and stable living environment, from April 10 to 15, Chaoyang Sub-district of Chengbei District organized villages and communities under its jurisdiction to carry out a series of safety education activities.
Carry out thematic lectures to enhance safety awareness. With the theme of "Counter-terrorism for All, Create Peace Together", Chaoyang Street invited lawyers in the jurisdiction to carry out legal education on laws and regulations such as the "National Security Law of the People's Republic of China" and the "Counter-terrorism Law of the People's Republic of China" in schools, communities and other places in the form of lectures, popularizing citizens' knowledge of counter-terrorism and terrorism prevention and common sense of self-help and mutual rescue, and publicizing the reward policy for citizens to report terrorism-related clues. During this period, a total of 8 theme lectures were held, and more than 600 people were educated.
Carry out mobile popularization of the law and broaden the scope of education. In order to further broaden the number of people receiving education, Chaoyang Street carried out the "going out" mobile legal popularization activity. In parks, squares, and other places where crowds gather in the jurisdiction, publicize knowledge related to national security education to residents face-to-face through methods such as hanging propaganda banners, putting up counter-terrorism posters, and distributing propaganda leaflets. During the period, more than 10 banners were hung, more than 200 posters were posted, and more than 1,000 copies of publicity leaflets were distributed.
Carry out actual combat drills to raise awareness of prevention. In order to improve the ability of residents in the jurisdiction to deal with anti-terrorism and anti-riot emergencies, Chaoyang Street has carried out anti-terrorism and anti-riot knowledge training for village and community workers, property personnel and residents, focusing on how to prevent emergencies, how to avoid danger in an emergency and evacuation methods when evacuating, and guiding the correct use of explosion-proof equipment. At the same time, individual communities in Chaoyang Street also invited the staff of the Chengbei District Fire and Rescue Brigade to demonstrate the emergency process and treatment measures for handling sudden fires, and at the same time improve the coordination and cooperation ability of residents and property personnel in the process of dealing with emergencies, and enhance the awareness of mutual rescue and self-rescue in the fire.
Through a series of various activities, Chengbei District has further enhanced the residents' awareness of distress and the ability to deal with emergencies, laying a good foundation for the safe construction of the district.
