Ms. Feng was placed with a PICC catheter in Shanghai Cancer Hospital in March due to physical reasons, and she was required to perform weekly catheter maintenance after catheterization. The thought of having to run back and forth every week made Ms. Feng feel sad. After many inquiries, Ms. Feng learned that the Caojing Town Community Health Service Center had a PICC catheter maintenance service project, so Ms. Feng, accompanied by her family, went to the Care Center of the Caojing Town Community Health Service Center for face-to-face consultation.
Yu Yihong, the person in charge of the nursing center, warmly received Ms. Feng and her family, carefully checked Ms. Feng's relevant information, checked Ms. Feng's catheterization, made an appointment registration after completing relevant examinations, and informed the maintenance process in detail. The next day, Ms. Feng, accompanied by her family, came to the center for PICC catheter maintenance as scheduled. For Ms. Feng, Shen Minming, a nurse at the center who has obtained a municipal PICC specialist maintenance certificate, said, "Aunt Feng, your maintenance record sheet and social security card have been collected, and you will come here for maintenance at this time next week." Shen Minming carefully told Aunt Feng.
Under the warm reception of the head nurse Yu Yihong and the careful and professional maintenance of nurse Shen Minming, Ms. Feng said excitedly: "In the future, I don't have to get up at half past five every time to squeeze the bus to the city hospital, and I don't have to spend two or three hours waiting in line. ”
Mr. Liu, who lives in Jinguang Village, Caojing Town, has a PICC in the Affiliated Cancer Hospital of Fudan University in Shanghai due to physical reasons. Chemotherapy and catheter maintenance required back and forth, and Mr. Liu felt tired. In the casual chat with the patients, he learned that the PICC maintenance project is also commonly carried out in the community health service center, so he came to the Caojing Town Community Health Service Center to consult and understand the service situation of the PICC maintenance team, and completed a maintenance service on the same day, and he quite recognized the nursing skills and service attitude of the Caojing Town Community Health Service Center. In this way, Mr. Liu basically carried out maintenance once a week and insisted on it for nearly 4 months. Since he did not have chemotherapy later, he opted for a catheter removal at the end of December. Recently, in a telephone return visit with the PICC maintenance team of Caojing Town Community Health Service Center, he once again expressed his gratitude to the team members: "The care at the door is convenient and in place, and it is good to have you!"
It is understood that since 2017, the Caojing Town Community Health Service Center has opened a PICC nursing clinic to provide catheter maintenance and health education guidance services for patients in need, so as to prolong the service life of the catheter and reduce the occurrence of complications after catheterization. The opening of the PICC Nursing Clinic has greatly facilitated the needs of patients in the jurisdiction. So far, 371 people have been served.
