On April 23, Jinshan District will hold the 5th Shanghai Innovation and Entrepreneurship Youth 50 Forum on Biomanufacturing Innovation and Development in Shanghai Bay Area, organizing experts and scholars, business representatives and young innovation and entrepreneurship talents in related fields to enter the Shanghai Bay Area to gain an in-depth understanding of the planning and policies of the biomanufacturing industry in the Shanghai Bay Area, and to share the path and prospects of biotechnology-enabled industry development.

Cooperation signing and project release
At the sub-forum, the cooperation of relevant platforms in the field of biomanufacturing will be formally signed. Shanghai universities and special committees of democratic parties such as the Democratic League, the China Democratic National Construction Association, and the Jiusan Society will also cooperate with the functional departments and industrial parks of Jinshan District to jointly build them. Background of the Forum
Since 2020, the Shanghai Innovation and Entrepreneurship Youth 50 Forum has been successfully held for four sessions, creating a brand matrix of the Youth 50 Forum, jointly building a youth innovation and entrepreneurship service system and a good ecology, and becoming an important platform for cross-border exchanges and ideological collision of innovation and entrepreneurship and an "innovation and entrepreneurship parlor" facing the world.
"Shanghai Bay Area" is a city brand proposed by Jinshan District, Shanghai. On April 25, 2023, in the name of the sub-forum of the 4th Shanghai Innovation and Entrepreneurship Youth 50 Forum, the Shanghai Bay Area Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum and the Synthetic Biology Innovation and Development Forum were held.
In September 2023, the "Shanghai Action Plan for Accelerating Synthetic Biology Innovation and Building a High-end Biomanufacturing Industry Cluster (2023-2025)" clarified the spatial layout of Jinshan District's biomanufacturing industry with "one core and two wings" in the city. In terms of the development foundation of the biomanufacturing industry, Jinshan District has the scale advantages of the chemical industry, the ecological advantages of the biomedical industry, the basic advantages of agricultural development, and the supporting advantages of the equipment industry. At present, Jinshan District biomanufacturing enterprises have covered biomedicine, biomaterials, bioagriculture and health food, bioenergy and green environmental protection and other fields.
