When it comes to electric vehicles, Akio Toyoda has always been resistant. He believes that the slowdown in the company's sales justifies his resistance to electric vehicles, and people are beginning to recognize the "reality" of the technology.

He noted that the automotive industry is recognizing that there are multiple ways to reduce carbon emissions, not just electric vehicles.

The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) recently reportedly signed an agreement for Toyota to develop a new pressurized lunar rover for manned and unmanned lunar exploration.

Toyota has been working with JAXA since 2019. The new pressurized lunar cruiser is expected to be delivered in 2031 and will be able to travel on the moon, allowing astronauts to take off their spacesuits in a pressurized environment and work and live on the moon for up to one month. Drive up to 8 hours a day, 6 consecutive days.
