Tencent Auto reported on April 25 that the Porsche pure electric Macan was officially launched at the 2024 Beijing Auto Show, with a total of two power models priced at 728,000 yuan and 968,000 yuan respectively. Built on the PPE all-electric platform jointly developed by Porsche and Audi, the new model is equipped with a 100 kWh lithium-ion battery as standard, and thanks to the 800-volt platform architecture, the new car can charge up to 270 kW.

In terms of appearance, the all-electric Macan retains the classic design of the gasoline Macan as much as possible, and the recognition is maintained. The headlight cluster adopts a split design, and four luminous horizontal lines are used in the daytime running light cavity, with rib lines on both sides of the hood, which is very powerful.

In terms of dimensions, the length, width and height of the new car are 4784/1938/1622mm, and the wheelbase is 2893mm. The side profile is more rounded, which is basically the same as the petrol version, the door handles are still in the traditional style, and the wheels are also available in a variety of options.

At the rear, the all-electric Macan continues the classic design of the continuous taillights, with the lettered tail badge integrated with the black trim. The new car has removed the spoiler on the upper edge of the rear windshield of the petrol version and replaced it with an active spoiler placed on the underside of the rear windscreen, which is rarely seen in SUV models.

Inside, the all-electric Macan can be equipped with up to three displays. The 12.6-inch all-digital floating curved display is located directly in front of the driver's line of sight. The central display is a high-resolution 10.9-inch Full HD quality touchscreen display. The optional 10.9-inch passenger display uses a special film technology to prevent the driver from seeing the content on the screen and distracting the driver. As a result, content such as videos can be shown only to passengers.

Equipped with an AR-HUD, it is the first time that Porsche has introduced an augmented reality head-up display in its vehicles. The image is displayed 10 meters in front of the driver and is equivalent to an 87-inch display.

A light strip consisting of 56 LEDs runs through the front area of the car. In a variety of situations, such as greeting, charging, or interacting with driver assistance systems, the communication lights can inform and warn the occupants and display different signals in a variety of colors and dynamic effects.

In terms of power and range, like the Taycan, the all-electric Macan is powered by a PSM permanent magnet synchronous motor and 800 V technology, with a system output of up to 450 kW and a maximum torque of more than 1,000 Nm. All all-electric Macans are equipped with a 100 kWh lithium-ion battery consisting of 12 square cells with a mix of nickel, cobalt and manganese in an 8:1:1 ratio.

Thanks to the 800 V technology, the Macan models can charge up to 270 kW at a maximum of 270 kW, and if the charging station only supports 400 V, the all-electric Macan will activate the "Combined Charging" technology. If only 400 V technology can be used at the charging station, the all-electric Macan activates the "Combined Charging" function to speed up the charging process, splitting the 800 V battery into two cells, each rated at 400 V, which can be charged in parallel at a 400 V charging station.

In addition, for the first time, the all-electric Macan introduces a high-performance rear-axle component, which allows the vehicle to be equipped with rear-axle steering. In this way, you can strike a good balance between flexibility in urban traffic and stability and driving precision on the highway.
