In order to further promote the activities of the Earthquake Prevention and Disaster Reduction Publicity Week, comprehensively popularize the knowledge of earthquake disaster prevention and emergency avoidance skills, and improve the awareness of earthquake prevention and disaster reduction among the people in the park, according to the Notice of Xining Emergency Management Bureau, Xining Earthquake Bureau, Xining Education Bureau and Xining Science and Technology Association on Carrying out the 2024 "4.14" Earthquake Prevention and Disaster Reduction Publicity Week in the City Requirements, on April 14, the Office of the Earthquake Relief Headquarters of Dongchuan Industrial Park, Xining Economic and Technological Development Zone, organized all member units of the headquarters and enterprises in the park to carry out centralized publicity activities for earthquake prevention and disaster reduction in Lejiawan Square.
At the event site, the staff closely focused on the theme of "Earthquake Science Popularization, Hand in Hand", and explained in detail the characteristics and hazards of various emergencies such as earthquake prevention and disaster reduction, accident and disaster, as well as the basic knowledge of earthquake prevention and disaster reduction, emergency escape and avoidance, self-rescue and mutual rescue, by displaying emergency rescue equipment, placing publicity boards, distributing earthquake prevention and disaster reduction publicity materials, and setting up a consultation desk. At the same time, the large LED screens and rolling screens in the park play the earthquake science propaganda film and earthquake prevention and disaster reduction knowledge in a loop, which effectively enhances the safety protection, emergency avoidance and self-rescue and mutual rescue capabilities of the people in the park. A total of 1,200 copies of various publicity materials, 600 copies of publicity materials, and more than 40 people were consulted and answered, creating a strong publicity atmosphere of "everyone understands earthquake prevention and everyone knows how to respond to emergencies".
In the next step, the park will take this publicity week as an opportunity to actively innovate the concept of publicity, enrich the form of popular science publicity, and flexibly use new media, emergency drills and knowledge lectures in communities, enterprises, schools, rural areas, families, and monasteries to vigorously publicize the popular science knowledge of earthquake prevention and disaster reduction, so as to lay a good foundation for the harmonious and stable development of the park.
