Title: Childless: Traditional Chinese Perceptions and Practical Choices

In China, a country with a large population and strong traditions, sometimes there may be a ridiculous reality behind a seemingly natural thing. Just like yesterday, after I wrote the article "In China, only sons will be eaten out of households", only to find that the judicial interpretation of the Marriage Law of the Civil Code is soliciting opinions. All this made me feel an inexplicable sense of happiness again, glad that I didn't have a son.

Yes, it is a blessing to have no sons in this country! Think of how easy life would be without this baggage. There is no need to worry about having a son, and you don't have to worry about whether your son will be forced to go out to work for others in the future. Not to mention raising a second generation for others, I don't do this kind of thing! Moreover, I don't have to be busy like a grandson for my child, and I won't be disturbed by others because of raising a son.

Some people may think that I am going too far, but it is true! In this society, having a son is not a good thing. You tell me?

First of all, let's talk about it from a legal point of view. To put it simply, the law is gradually improving the marriage system and protecting the rights and interests of individuals. But have you noticed? These laws don't mention anything like "having a son"? Why? Because having a son has nothing to do with the law. The law doesn't treat you a little better because you have a son or not, right?

Secondly, let's talk about the actual situation. If you look at the examples around you, how many families are living a good life because they have a son? I haven't seen it. I've heard of people who died because of raising a son. If you had known about it, you should have made a decisive decision that not having a son would be the right thing to do!

Besides, even if you have a son, what can you do? When he grows up, don't you still want to leave you and pursue his own life? You have worked hard to raise him, and in the end you may not get as much as a stranger's smile at you. It's not worth it!

So, in general, in China, having a son is simply a sin! Not having a son is the real happiness! This is my opinion, what do you think?
