If you pay close attention, you will find that two or three years ago was the peak of integrated stoves. Nowadays, it seems that there are fewer and fewer users who buy integrated stoves! Why is this happening?
Anyone who has ever used an integrated stove should be able to give you the answer – because it has 5 major flaws.
.01 Functional redundancy
The integrated stove is not just the integration of the range hood and the gas stove. Underneath the gas stove, there is often a large kitchen appliance. At first, it was a sterilizer and a dishwasher, and later it was a steam oven.
It is undeniable that these large kitchen appliances have their own advantages, and they may not be bad to use.
But as a consumer, do I have the right not to use it? An integrated stove costs nearly 10,000 yuan, and more than half of the funds are invested in integrated kitchen appliances, which is a little too low.
Especially for young people who don't cook much, buying an integrated stove home is a complete waste.
Many integrated stove manufacturers are also aware of this, so they have launched split integrated stoves. That is, only the smoke stove does not have kitchen appliances, and the price is more than half cheaper than the traditional integrated stove, which shows how unjust the kitchen appliances are spent.
.02 Installation troublesome
The hassle of installing an integrated stove can manifest itself in two places:
• The integrated stove is the lower exhaust smoke, and now the developers have reserved holes for the common flue are at the top. Therefore, when installing the integrated stove, you need to plug the hole at the top and re-open a hole at the bottom.
Forget the trouble, not everyone can open the hole. For example, when I lived on the first floor, I wanted to buy an integrated stove. The workers came to inspect and said that the flue on the first floor did not pass to the end, and the hole could not be opened, and naturally the integrated stove could not be used.
• The integrated stove is not built into the cabinet, but is placed side by side with the cabinet. In order to achieve a tight fit, it is necessary to ensure that the size of the cabinet is consistent with the integrated stove -
The integrated stove is generally 85cm high and 60cm deep. This means that your cabinets can no longer be customized, and you can't make high and low countertops. The advantages of "custom-made furniture" will disappear.
.03 High maintenance costs
In the past, some people have always said that the maintenance cost of integrated stoves is high, and the whole set of household appliances must be replaced if it is broken in a certain place. Later, the manufacturer upgraded to a modular design in response to this problem:
Range hood, gas stove, and kitchen appliance are three modules that can be purchased separately. Where it is broken, it is not necessary to change it all.
But after using it for a period of time, there are still many users who have encountered inconvenience:
• Different models and brands of modules are different, which means that after a few years, the integrated cooker we use will be discontinued, and even the brand of integrated cooker will be gone, and we will not be able to buy suitable modules.
•Even if production is not discontinued, it is very troublesome to transfer and order modules. There are very few modules in stock, and most modules have to wait for about half a month to be repaired after failure.
•The three modules are uniformly dispatched by one motherboard, with narrow space and dense lines. Compared with independent range hoods, gas stoves, and large kitchen appliances, the failure rate of each module of the integrated stove is higher.
.04 Difficult to upgrade in the later stage
"Can the range hood be upgraded to an integrated stove, can the integrated stove be replaced with a range hood?"
Unfortunately, the answer is "no". Or it's not that it can't, but it's not easy to change, and you can't find anyone to change it.
The replacement of the range hood with the integrated stove involves the sealing and punching of the flue, which is responsible for the construction of the integrated stove after-sales. But who should build the integrated stove when it is replaced with a range hood?
Not only that, but the integrated stove is also facing difficulties in upgrading. For example, the first generation of gas stoves are all down-suction, and they are very large. If you want to upgrade to the current side suction lower row, you will face the transformation of the wall, which is a big expense.
And I said earlier that the current integrated stove has begun to be popular again, and there is no integrated kitchen appliances. If you want to change to this, you have to make a new set of cabinets to block the space where the kitchen appliances were originally placed.
.05 Alternatives
The reason why the integrated stove fell off the altar is not only because of its own incompetence, but also because its competitors are too powerful.
In terms of range hoods, in addition to the traditional top suction type and side suction type, there is also a top side double suction type. The smoke cavity has become larger, the suction power has become larger, and the air volume has become larger, although the smoke exhaust effect is still not as good as that of the integrated stove, but it is enough.
In addition to the traditional two-eye stove, there are various types of multi-eye stoves. In terms of function, there are also touch fire control, large-angle precise fire control, etc., which are more practical than integrated stoves.
In the past, the integrated stove was proud of the smoke stove linkage:
Turn on the gas stove and the hood will automatically turn on. The greater the fire power of the gas stove, the greater the suction power of the range hood. Turn off the gas stove, and the range hood can be delayed and automatically shut down to suck up the residual oil smoke in the kitchen.
Today's smoke stove sets can also be perfectly realized.
The same function, similar ability, but the price is only 1/10~1/5 of the integrated stove. If it were you, which would you choose?
