As primary school students enter a critical period of development, communication with their parents often becomes barrierd. In order to enhance the understanding between children and parents and improve the quality of parent-child relationship, on April 11, Logistics Port Experimental Primary School invited Luo Rui, a lecturer from the Mental Health Center of Beijing Normal University Science and Technology Group, a lecturer from Beijing Normal University, a master of psychology from Southwest University, and a national second-level psychological counselor, to carry out a unique parent-child communication psychological theme activity for the students. With the theme of "The Shackles of Love", this event aims to guide students to reflect on the misunderstandings in family communication and explore ways to establish a healthy parent-child relationship.

In order to better understand what the students really think, the psychology teacher designed a questionnaire that the students were invited to fill out. The content of the questionnaire covers the frequency, method, effect and other aspects of family communication, aiming to comprehensively reflect the current situation of parent-child communication among students. Through the questionnaire, the students were able to express their voices anonymously, and the psychology teacher also had a deeper understanding of parent-child communication issues.

At the beginning of the activity, Ms. Luo Rui used small games and interesting stories to let the students face the relationship with their parents and score the parent-child relationship, so as to lead to "If our hearts are a key, and the hearts of parents are a lock, have you opened the lock in the right way", so that students can realize the common existence of the phenomenon of "shackles of love" in parent-child communication. She pointed out that many times, out of love and expectation for their children, parents will inadvertently put too much pressure on their children, and these pressures are like invisible shackles that restrict their children's growth and development. At the same time, children may also build a psychological line of defense in communication because of misunderstanding and resistance to parents.

To unlock the relationship with your parents, you must first re-understand your parents from a psychological perspective, and effective communication skills are the key to building a good parent-child relationship. So, what to do to open the shackles? Teacher Luo explained to the students the correct way to open the four keys of "seeing the feelings and expectations behind the behavior, expressing them correctly, cherishing the moment, and accompanying them with their hearts", helping them to untie the "shackles of love", and encouraging them to turn their expectations of love into action, accompany them with their hearts, and know their parents.

Unlocking the relationship with your parents and getting to know them again is a long-term and ongoing process. We need to keep an open mind at all times and be willing to listen and understand our parents' thoughts and feelings. This parent-child communication psychological activity with the theme of "The Shackles of Love" not only made the students aware of the negative impact of the "Shackles of Love" on the parent-child relationship, but also learned how to break these barriers through effective communication. I believe that in the future, children will gain more love and growth in family life.
