It's hard to keep a low profile, and the BMW M2 with a new height of 705 hp was modified

While the original BMW M2 is already eye-catching, Manhart always has to give it his all to make his version stand out, and the new MH2 GTR II from the well-known tuning company doesn't disappoint. Manhart, the German car tuning company, has already launched an upgrade kit for the G87 M2, but the MH2 560 introduced in February seems relatively conservative, while the MH2 GTR II boldly shows off its modification, with a vibrant magenta color contrasting with a champagne-colored Manhart sticker.

Visual upgrades include a new hood trim, carbon fibre intake shroud, bumper carbon fibre grille, carbon fibre front spoiler chin, plus a huge fixed spoiler rear wing and Alpha-N airflow diffuser. There are also new side skirts and Raffa Wheels RFS-02 forged series wheels measuring 20×10.5" at the front and 21×11.5" at the rear, matching the body sticker color.

Tucked deep into the wheel arches is the Manhart Variant 4 KW suspension package, which should improve the car's handling on the track, and the streamlined interior should make people feel at home as well. Manhart removed the rear seats and put on a champagne-painted roll cage and adopted a Schroth seat belt.

It's rare for a car with great visuals to have a factory-set engine, even a slightly tuned one. So of course Manhart will also do something with the engine. The M2's S58 3.0-litre inline-six engine produces 453 hp (460) of maximum horsepower from the factory, while Manhart's MH2 560 produces 560 ps of maximum horsepower of 552 hp, as the name suggests. But the MH2 GTR II has a figure of 705 hp (715 ps) and 86.7 kgm. Perhaps surprisingly, Manhart says all they did was rewrite the ECU and swap it out with carbon fiber intakes and high-performance exhaust pipes.

Customers wishing to equip their G86 M2 with this kit can choose from a number of exhaust systems, with the fully legal TÜV-certified version consisting of a sports exhaust pipe, an HJS catalyst converter, a non-gauge steel system to control the valves, and four matte black 100 mm (3.9 in) tailpipes. Those who don't care about clean air standards can opt for a more extreme track exhaust system, which includes a track exhaust pipe kit without a catalyst converter.
