On the morning of April 10, Xu Jianbing, Secretary of the Yueqing Municipal Party Committee, and Dai Xuqiang, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, met with Yang Baojun, Chief Economist of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and Chairman of the China Urban Planning Society.
On behalf of the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government, Xu Jianbing welcomed Yang Baojun's arrival. Xu Jianbing said that Yueqing has been focusing on building a "city of drunken beauty, happy Yueqing", in-depth implementation of the people-centered new urbanization strategy, and the rural revitalization strategy with the construction of beautiful villages as the main carrier, vigorously building an all-age friendly society, and innovating to create "happy neighborhood scenes" such as neighborhood canteens and neighborhood study rooms, and has been rated as the happiest city in China for three consecutive years. Especially in the construction of park cities, Yueqing has always adhered to the concept of "the city makes life better", and made every effort to build urban parks, health trails, style stations and other urban butterfly changes "12 systems", 14 major urban comprehensive parks, 60 kilometers of greenways, three major waterfront landscape belts connect the old and new urban areas, and more than 2,300 acres of modern urban agricultural parks traverse the central urban area, showing the unique charm of "buildings can be read, blocks are suitable for strolling, and the city is full of temperature".
Since December last year, this is the second time that Yang Baojun has visited Yueqing. During the exchange, he praised Yueqing's park city construction, especially the "12 systems" of urban butterfly change. Yang Baojun emphasized that the construction of park cities is a new practice of the new development concept in urban construction and development, an important way to meet the needs of the people for a better life, an important exploration to promote the transformation of green ecological value, an important starting point for shaping the competitive advantage of cities in the new era, and an innovative model for accelerating new urbanization.
