In the form of game experience, customs clearance and check-in, and wheel battle, this activity vividly and interestingly taught children practical survival skills such as AED use, blanket stretcher making, jack operation, knotting skills, furniture fixing and abdominal impact first aid.
"If another person's airway is blocked by foreign objects such as nuts, walnuts, glass balls or food, resulting in difficulty breathing, you can use the abdominal impact first aid method to save yourself and others in a timely and effective manner. When teaching the abdominal impingement first aid method, the volunteers explained in detail the distress gesture in the event of airway foreign body obstruction, the principle of the abdominal impingement first aid method, and taught the memory mantra of "rock-paper-scissors". The children listened carefully, learned carefully, and were eager to try.
Volunteer teachers use the mode of situational teaching, with the help of dolls, wooden blocks, tables, etc., to simulate the scene of the accident, so that the children can understand and learn how to use the jack correctly. At the same time, the use of AEDs (automated external defibrillators) was also popularized, so that children could understand how to use gold rescue for four minutes to rescue an emergency patient in cardiac arrest.
In the blanket stretcher time trial, the children made and experienced the blanket stretcher by themselves, simulated handling, and truly achieved "play while learning, learn while playing". In the knot competition, the children learned how to knot the single knot and the double flat knot with the volunteer teacher, so that they can quickly escape from the high-rise building with the rope in the event of an emergency such as an earthquake and fire. In the furniture anti-tipping game, through the earthquake drill, the children intuitively felt the situation of furniture toppling, and the volunteer teachers taught 5 ways to fix furniture.
A total of 780 teachers and students participated in the child survival training camp.
