In 2021, on January 13, Cambodian time, a man and a woman, two Chinese were killed in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, suspected to be shot by a professional killer, which is the "Xiao Bo case" that has recently exploded social platforms and shocked the Chinese people.
Two compatriots died tragically in a foreign country, and some netizens ridiculed: "Isn't it the moon that is round in a foreign country?" What's more, they began to brainstorm and speculate on the identity and cause of death of the deceased, and there were overwhelming conspiracy theories.
However, in recent years, Cambodia, Myanmar and other places have always made headlines because of similar vicious cases, and the proliferation of custom industries here has attracted a large number of white people to Cambodia for tourism and consumption, becoming a paradise for white people.
Why is Cambodia so chaotic and why has it not been able to settle down for a long time?
Digging deeper into the reasons for this, it was found that the United States was the culprit.

Whenever people talk about Cambodia, a series of scary words such as marijuana, gambling, fraud, and non-ferrous industry will appear in their minds.
And in some film and television works, the tone of the description of Cambodia is also the same.
Anyone who has ever been to Cambodia knows that it is a poor and backward country, where women on the streets are dark-skinned, children are skinny, and people are accustomed to eating insects from the rice at roadside stalls.
A large number of black industries gather here, but the local departments turn a blind eye, and some people even revealed that the fraud industry can pull Cambodia's market economy from the side.
Although Cambodia is a small country, it is a culturally and economically diverse country, and it has experienced a glorious period in ancient times, with a long history and traditional roots, until the advent of Westerners brought the nation down from the altar.
In the 19th century, Britain and France and other powerful countries had developed extremely advanced navigation technology, and they continued to explore the world, started a strategy of colonial rule, and gradually extended their hands to East and Southeast Asia.
China was also persecuted by the British and French forces, a large number of cultural relics were estimated to have been destroyed, concessions were established on the mainland, a large number of unequal treaties were signed, and the small countries around China did not escape the clutches of aggression.
Britain and France were about the same strength, and they always cooperated along the lines of the war, each with different colonial areas, and the border was peaceful.
Cambodia became part of French India and was under French colonial rule, and the impact of colonization on Cambodia was undoubtedly profound, bringing modern industrial technology, but also exploiting the local population and leading to economic and social inequality.
It is worth mentioning that Southeast Asia has been occupied by French forces, including India, Vietnam, Cambodia and other places, and since then, Cambodia's national strength has been seriously reduced, and it has been squeezed into a backward and poor country.
However, this was just the beginning, and soon after the outbreak of the First World War, France did not want to sacrifice too much in the war, so they recruited a large number of coolies from Cambodia, forced them to form an army, and then sent them to the front line.
With such a forcible army, the soldiers did not have any actual combat experience, and some could not even hold their guns steadily, and soon Cambodia was defeated, and France continued to lose in the war until the outbreak of World War II, when the Japanese drove out the French colonial rulers.
At this point, Japan began to rule by power for several years, and they were even more bottomless than the French, cruel to the elderly and women, it can be said that the Cambodians at that time lived even worse than cows, horses, pigs and dogs.
Where there is oppression, there is resistance, and in this environment, some people began to plot to overthrow the bloody rule of the Japanese, a typical representative is King Sihanouk, who is the son of the old king of Cambodia.
In 1941, his biological father contracted a strange illness, and due to the poor medical conditions at the time, the old man unfortunately died, and according to tradition, his son succeeded to the throne.
Sihanouk was fortunate to have caught up with the good times, when the United States dropped two atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki on Japan, shattering the illusion of Japanese militarism in conquering the world.
Taking this opportunity, the Cambodian people have united, driven out all external forces that do not belong to this land, held high the banner of independent statehood, and said that they would embark on the road of independence and self-improvement.
In 1953, Cambodia gained independence from French colonial rule, and Lon Nol became the new head of state.
In the late 1960s and early 1970s, Cambodia experienced another serious political upheaval, including the internal conflict in the Lon Nol government and the Vietnam War.
Soon, the Lon Nol government was overthrown and the Republic of Cambodia was formed, and as the civil war continued, it was confronted by the exiled leaders of Lon Nol's government and groups such as the Khmer Rouge.
It was not until 1991 that Cambodian parties reached the Paris Peace Agreement, which ended more than 20 years of civil war, and the United Nations established the Transitional Governing Right to help Cambodia achieve a peaceful and democratic transition.
Unfortunately, these policies did not bring tranquility to Cambodia.
As early as the Vietnam War, the United States planted the root cause in Cambodia, especially in the early 70s, in order to end the war as soon as possible, the United States increased its military support for South Vietnam, and carried out large-scale air and ground offensives.
Cambodia's eastern border region has once again fallen and become one of the battlefields of the Vietnam War, and most importantly, the US government has also openly supported the Lon Nol regime, which has further exacerbated the chaos in Cambodia due to serious corruption and abuse of power.
In addition, the United States, as the world's largest consumer of marijuana, even allows the legal cultivation of marijuana, but for the sake of social stability, they hardly support the development of these gray industrial organizations, but import them from foreign countries.
According to the United Nations, 60% of the world's hemp products are sold to the United States, and if it weren't for the United States watering and fertilizing Cambodia, Mexico and other places, these regions would not be in such a chaotic state today.
A series of factors, resulting in Cambodia now almost no middle class, racial discrimination is also very serious, here I advise those who want to travel to Cambodia, must be cautious, it is best not to go there alone.
Cambodia, once a war-torn country, is now Asia's most corrupt country, and this will certainly not be the eternal melody of fate.
It is hoped that the Cambodian people will see the situation clearly as soon as possible and break free from the quagmire of chaos.
