It is understood that the Red Egg Festival is called "Pumatu" in Hani language, which means pure and auspicious, and is the traditional festival of the Hani people, also known as the "seedling opening festival", that is, the season of planting seedlings will enter after the festival, and it is also the beginning of spring plowing and production in a year. In the eyes of the Hani people, when spring comes, everything recovers, seeds sprout, and every household has to boil "red eggs", eat "yellow rice", and make sacrifices, praying for good weather in the coming year, abundant harvests, peace and security, disaster eradication and blessings, and prosperity of people and animals.
According to statistics, this year's Red Egg Festival set up more than 180 booths, received more than 30,000 tourists, and achieved a tourism income of more than 200 yuan.
