"In the past, this public toilet was a dry toilet, and the environmental sanitation was poor, especially in the summer, some residents in the family area did not dare to open the windows, mosquitoes and flies flew everywhere, and they had to cover their noses when going to the toilet, but now they finally don't use it. Master Huang, a resident of the family area in the company's courtyard, told reporters happily that the renovation of the old dry toilet has brought great convenience to the residents in the yard and nearby businesses.
On the morning of April 7, the reporter saw in the company's courtyard that there were 3 residential buildings in the family area, and there was a public toilet on the left hand side of the road as soon as you entered the gate. The women's toilets are all pump-type squatting toilets, and they are also equipped with cleaning personnel to achieve regular maintenance.
The public toilet was built in the eighties and nineties of the last century, and about a dozen large warehouses in the company's courtyard are rented out, and about 40 merchants are settled. There is only one small public toilet on Dabaiyang South Road in front of the door, which can only accommodate up to three people at the same time, and there are many shops on both sides of the road. Whether it is the tenant in the courtyard or the business owners on both sides of the road, they will habitually come here for convenience. Everyone loves and hates this public toilet.
In June 2022, nearby residents reported that the aqua toilet affected the environment, and Liyuan Community, Hongmiaopo Street, Lianhu District, communicated with Shaanxi Changhe Storage and Transportation Co., Ltd. many times, but because the company's funds were not available, the renovation work has not been able to be promoted. The relevant responsible comrades of Hongmiaopo Street contacted the company's superior head office many times, and after six or seven rounds of communication, the head office decided to renovate the dry toilet.
After preliminary preparations, in mid-March this year, the renovation project was officially constructed. In order not to affect residents and nearby businesses to go to the toilet, the community also issued a notice in advance. At the same time, community workers, enthusiastic residents and merchants acted as "supervisors" to pay attention to the quality and progress of the construction. Before the Qingming Festival, the renovation was successfully completed, and the new public toilets appeared in front of residents and businesses.
