Recently, the two-day Guangdong Chess Association 2024 (Juzhou Chess Academy Cup) Chess Ranking Tournament was held in the "Guangdong Chess Characteristic School" - Panyu District Qiaoxian Junxian Primary School.
The competition is fierce
The competition was guided by the Guangdong Chess Association, sponsored by Guangzhou Juzhou Chess Institute Culture Co., Ltd., and co-organized by Panyu District Shawan Chess Association and Panyu District Shiqiao Xianyong Junxian Primary School. The tournament was supported by a number of companies and units, attracting 307 players from Guangdong Province to participate.
The organizing committee divided the 307 chess players into 11 groups, and set up an oath-taking session for referees and athletes before the game, and specially added a patriotic theme link of raising the national flag and singing the national anthem.
The number of winners of this competition is 132, and the competition in the first-class chess group is extremely fierce, and Liang Junkai, a second-grade student of Tianyun Primary School in Panyu District, was successfully promoted to the title of "local chess master". Ling Yunjuan, director of the Panyu Chess Association and vice president of the Shawan Chess Association, who won the title of "Excellent Coach" in this competition, said in an interview that the overall level of the chess tournament was quite high, especially the local chess players in Panyu performed eye-catchingly.
Award Ceremony
The competition invited Sun Shouhua, executive vice president of the Guangdong Chess Association, and Master Li Hongjia, the Asian champion of Chinese chess, to attend the event and present awards to the winning chess players.
