According to previous information, the Qin L is positioned as a mid-size sedan, the interior is on par with the Song L, and the power will be equipped with the fifth-generation DM-i hybrid system, and it is expected to adopt a front and rear independent suspension structure...... Compared with the Qin PLUS DM-i, the Qin L will have a wider and low-lying front end, and the "big mouth" grille will also be further enlarged, supplemented by "dragon scale" like chrome trim strips, and present a diffusion style, giving people a more visual impact. At the same time, it is also equipped with "C" shaped air ducts on both sides, and the prominent chrome front lip at the trapezoidal lower grille further enhances the fighting atmosphere of the front face. The sharp and upward LED headlight cluster is quite similar to the Song L, and the middle is also run through the blackened trim, continuing to emphasize the sporty temperament.

The body size is 4830/1900/1495mm in length, width and height, and the wheelbase is 2790mm, which is between the Qin PLUS DM-i and the Han DM-i, positioning it as a mid-size sedan. The larger size naturally presents a more stretched slip-back shape, and in addition, a three-dimensional upper waist line extends from the headlights, which is quite similar to the design style of Han, and the rising lines at the side skirts create a posture of being ready to go. Compared with the Qin PLUS DM-i, the 1.5L engine has a maximum power of 81kW, and the two drive motors have a maximum power of 132kW and 145kW respectively, and the battery packs with two capacities of 8.32kWh and 18.32kWh are matched to achieve a WLTC pure electric range of 46km and 101km respectively.

It can be seen that the engine, motor, and battery under the fifth-generation DM technology have changed, and it will be a combination of low-power engine + high-power motor + small-capacity battery. In addition, according to the previously exposed patent application information, the fifth-generation DM technology will be added to the double-row planetary gear set, which may mean that BYD's fifth-generation DM technology will likely be a two-speed hybrid system with higher fuel economy, which brings the declared loss of fuel consumption of 3.8L/100km, which is lower than that of Qin PLUS DM-i (4.6L/100km).
