★CSVA: How did you get involved with the starry sky, and do you remember your first star-shooting experience?
Hyman: Before 2019, I liked to take some photos when I was traveling, and I often watched some works of landscape bigwigs, that is, around 19 years, I was shocked by the sudden appearance of many starry sky photography works. So, in March 2019, with the idea of learning and trying, I brought a machine with two lenses, a tripod, and an equatorial mount to participate in a starry sky photography activity with a high starting point, and the first shot was a 360-degree panoramic stitching.

Share the creative process with everyone?Hyman: "Binoculars", this photo shows a concept of time and space interlacing, we use binoculars to observe the universe on the earth, here we see the intersection of time and space in winter and summer, and the two representative Milky Way and the zodiac light are perfectly woven together. Before I took this photo, I had seen a time-lapse that showed the four seasons of the year from the flowers blooming to the snow falling, and I was probably inspired to think about how this idea of time and space could be expressed in a static photograph? Well, and then I had this Binoculars. The process of filming is actually lackluster, just on an ordinary autumn night when you can shoot the summer Milky Way in the first half of the night and the winter Milky Way in the second half of the night, I randomly found a plateau lake at an altitude of 5,100 meters, pressed 500 shutters, and stacked them together in a group of 5 shots.

★CSVA: What zodiac sign are you?What is your favorite zodiac sign or celestial body?Why?Hyman: I'm a Gemini. But my favorite is Orion. Orion, for starry sky photography, is like the kung pao chicken in the culinary world, this is used for grading, can't be joked! Orion, we rookies are often shooting, and the big guys who have been sitting on the altar for a long time also shoot, and the result of the shooting is like you and the young master of the village chief's family giving the goddess a bag at the same time, and the zipper of your bag is slightly faded, and the difference between us and the great god is always just the details of the billions of magenta. ★CSVA: Tell me a story, is the most memorable experience of star-shooting?Hyman: Unforgettable experiences often mean special events, in the three years of star-shooting, I experienced the shock of being rescued by a car trapped, driving a driver falling into a ditch, sleeping in the desert at minus 30 degrees and looking up at the starry sky, not doing personal hygiene in a no-man's land for seven days and seven nights, climbing a mountain and breaking my leg at night on a plateau above 5,000 meters above sea level, etc., every shooting experience made me unforgettable. ★CSVA: I've been shooting stars for so long, what is the deepest insight?Hyman: I can't talk about the deepest insight, I feel that I have passed through two stages and am moving towards the third stage. The first stage is mainly the reproduction of the scene, in this stage I learned how to complete the restoration of the truth, which actually involves more of the basic problem of starry sky photography; the second stage is the formation of individual style, in this stage I give more elements to the work in various external forms of color and form, in order to form a personal style; the third stage I think is the artistic expression of concepts, and starry sky works are naturally suitable for expressing some elements, such as the concept of time and space, science fiction, Dreams and so on, how to properly express these concepts through artistic thinking is something I still need to learn and think about. Perhaps, this is growth, pass one level at a time, and go step by step. ★CSVA: Starry sky, what does it mean to you?Hyman: It's a genre of photography that you can't stop once you get involved, and I'm fascinated not only by the beauty of the starry sky, but also by the clever use of technology and the spirit of exploring the mysteries of the universe. The French writer Flaubert once said that art and science always break up at the foot of the mountain and meet again at the top of the mountain. The starry sky, for me, means that it opens the door to the artistic career of a science and engineering man.

During the day, the sun's electromagnetic radiation excites molecules or atoms in the atmosphere, causing them to lose one or more electrons, excitation the stable state of the molecule or atom to a higher energy state.
At night, these molecules or atoms in the higher energy state will transition back to the ground state, and the light released at a certain wavelength is what we see as the air glow, and the orange-red (629 nm) in the picture is one of the colors produced when the oxygen atoms jump downward.
