The Love of the Northern Dynasty (20) How much do Koreans cherish food?

Episode 20

After I bumped into Bella at Triumph Youth Park, I kept thinking about whether to tell Curly Hair. Every time he meets Curly, he is as high-profile as ever. He also proudly told me that Bella was already his man, and they had opened a room in the hotel.

Curly hair was kept in the dark, not knowing that he was green. Although I didn't explicitly tell Curly that he was green, I tactfully reminded him that once at the cafeteria downstairs of the apartment, I saw Curly Hair sitting alone, so I sat next to Curly Hair.

Curly is very enthusiastic, and boasts while eating that many Korean girls like her, and one Korean girl even wants to elope with him. But he is a responsible man, he takes his feelings very seriously, and he only has Bella in his heart, so he will not be tempted by North Korean girls.

Curly compares the North Korean girl with the Russian girl, saying that the North Korean girl is inferior to the Russian girl, saying that the North Korean girl has short legs. Curly is going to propose to Bella, and when she hears that Bella is about to return to Russia, Curly is going to propose to Bella to surprise Bella.

Listening to Curly Hair's talk, I pretended to admire Curly Hair, and put a few green vegetables in the Curly Hair bowl, and said to Curly Hair: Dude, I heard that you like to eat green vegetables, eat more.

Who said that? I put vegetables in his bowl, and the curly hair was unhappy and unhygienic. We chatted a few more words, but the conversation was not speculative, and we parted unhappily.

After a few days, Curly did prepare a surprise for Bella, on a day when the breeze was just right and the sun was not dry, Curly put a lot of flowers and plants on the ground, holding flowers and proposing to Bella.

It is said that many classmates saw it, but I didn't see it anyway. Wang Yujuan and Curly have a good relationship, and the ceremony of Curly Hair proposing to Bella was Wang Yujuan's idea.

According to Wang Yujuan, she was moved by Curly's affectionate and romantic marriage proposal that day. But the heavens are not beautiful, Curly gives Bella a surprise, but Bella gives Curly a start.

Bella rejected Curly's marriage proposal, saying that she was in a relationship with Curly, saying that she was just having fun. Bella has found someone she likes, a Mongolian guy, and the crux of the matter is that Bella is pregnant, and the child is not curly.

Wang Yujuan's words reminded me of the curly-haired expression. It didn't take long for Bella to go to Mongolia with a Mongolian guy, and according to legend, the two were ready to get married. Since then, curls have become much more low-key.

After a few days, the school organized everyone to go to Peony Peak, which is located in the urban area of Pyongyang and looks like a blooming peony, so it is called Peony Peak. Peony Peak is a good place for Pyongyang citizens to relax and recreation, with lush trees and flowers blooming on the mountain.

Peony Peak is not far from Triumph Youth Park, and Radish and I have also been to Peony Peak to play. A few times, I also met a beautiful Korean girl sketching on the mountain. Because of the beautiful environment of Peony Peak, there are many people sketching on the mountain.

When we arrived at Peony Peak, we found that there were many people on the mountain. Pyongyang citizens like to have dinner here, they spread a cloth on the ground, filled with all kinds of food, and some carry stereos to the mountains, while everyone eats, drinks, sings and dances.

I have to say that North Koreans can sing and dance. Seeing our group of students coming, the enthusiastic citizens of Pyongyang beckoned us to eat, drink and have fun together.

Before coming to Peony Peak, we had prepared the food and lunch was settled on the mountain. Because I have been to Peony Peak several times, I was not very excited about the group activities organized by the school.

These days in Pyongyang, we spent most of our time in Pyongyang, cities outside Pyongyang, and only went to Kaesong. As foreign students, we are relatively free to move around in North Korea. Usually with a student ID, you can go to most places in Pyongyang. However, places outside of Pyongyang are generally not allowed to go.

As a person living in the countryside, I am interested in the rural areas of North Korea, and I would like to experience the life of rural Koreans who work collectively and earn their share of the work collectively.

I used to want to walk around the countryside on the outskirts of Pyongyang, but I couldn't leave Pyongyang at all. If you want to enter Pyongyang or leave Pyongyang, you need to go through a check, and you have the appropriate documents to pass.

Once, I heard that a farm near the school and Pyongyang had applied to send dozens of teachers and students to support the farming. The farm accepted the school's application. Such a great opportunity, of course, I don't want to miss it. Therefore, I discussed with the school leaders whether I could send a foreign student to support rural production in North Korea.

The school leaders looked at me and denied my request. He said that there are regulations for the DPRK's action to support farmers, and foreigners cannot participate. No matter how I tried to communicate, the school leaders did not agree, and I had to dismiss the idea of supporting farmers.

We watched the flowers, grass, and butterflies at Peony Peak, and soon it was time for lunch. Lunch was very simple, everyone found an open space, spread things on the ground, and then everyone sat on the floor and distributed lunch boxes. I was hungry, so I sat down and opened my lunch.

As the saying goes, if you are unlucky, you will drink water between your teeth. As soon as I opened the lunch box, I was unlucky. A bird flew overhead, and a lump of bird droppings landed right in my lunchbox. I looked up at the sky, looking for bird tracks. Although the bird flew by, there was no trace of it in the sky.

I innocently looked at the sky, and then at the bowl, and wanted to cry without tears. Although I was very hungry, I couldn't swallow the sight of a pile of bird droppings.

Because the number of lunch boxes is arranged according to the number of people who go up the mountain this time, there are no extra box lunches. When Xiaoxue found out about my situation, she said that she was not hungry and asked me to eat her boxed lunch.

Xiaoxue is the girl I like, how could she be hungry, I decisively refused. Because there was a lump of bird feces in the lunch box, I was going to find a place to throw it away, but Uncle Jin stopped me. He said that it was a pity to throw away such a good lunch.

Uncle Jin asked for a boxed lunch from me, and then used the rattan of the plant to remove the bird droppings from the lunch. After Uncle Jin completed this series of operations, he ate it with relish and gave me his share of the boxed lunch. I was very touched by Uncle Jin's fearless spirit, and Uncle Jin was indeed a good comrade.

After Wang Yujuan saw this scene, she was very unhappy and gave me a few blank eyes. I have to say, women change so fast. Once upon a time, Wang Yujuan looked at me with affection. After falling in love with Uncle Jin, he protected Uncle Jin everywhere. Under Wang Yujuan's gaze, I didn't taste delicious at all.

After eating, we continued to walk up the hill, next to an old building, several boys in white shirts were sketching, they were engrossed in drawing, and I approached them, and they didn't notice.

Drawings on the drawing board, lifelike. The oil paintings they all painted, the paintings are realistic, and the ancient buildings in front of them are almost exactly the same as the ancient buildings in their paintings.

North Koreans are very fond of painting, and it is not uncommon to meet sketchers on the banks of the Daedong River or in parks. According to Xiaoxue, the artist has a high status in North Korea, and if he receives the honorary title of People's Artist, it will be the highest honor and achievement. Xiaoxue listed many famous Korean painters to me, but unfortunately I didn't know much about Korean painting and didn't remember their names.

In North Korea's foreign-related shops, you can often see North Korean oil paintings for sale, and the price is very high. A local tyrant like Fat Tiger may buy it, but a person from a poor family like me would never buy a painting. In my opinion, people who spend a lot of money on paintings are the leisure of rich people.

I have the impression that North Korea has good public security, and there are basically no anti-theft nets installed in residential buildings, and girls walk alone at night without worrying about personal safety. Pyongyang has good public order because, on the one hand, the quality of the people in Pyongyang is high, and on the other hand, there are many soldiers patrolling the streets of Pyongyang.

Wandering the streets of Pyongyang at night, it is not uncommon to see North Korean soldiers checking passers-by on the streets. Even if there are bad guys, it is estimated that there is no hiding place in Pyongyang, and it is estimated that they will stay away when they see the People's Army with real guns and ammunition.

Moreover, Pyongyang is the capital of North Korea, and the North Koreans who can live in Pyongyang are reliable. It is difficult for people outside Pyongyang to enter Pyongyang. Therefore, there are no beggars on the streets of Pyongyang, and there are no street performers.

People living in Pyongyang have housing, most people have stability, and very few people do anything that violates the law. It may be that I have too much trust in the security of Pyongyang, so I usually don't have money or anything.

I once went to hear from my family that there was a time when the law and order in our country was very good, and the roads were not left behind, and the houses were not closed at night. I think the same is true for North Korea.

Living in North Korea is indeed not as convenient as at home in terms of payment. You can't use a bank card in North Korea, and you have to carry cash wherever you go to buy things. I never thought there would be thieves in North Korea, and I was the one who stole it. After class that day, I hummed a little song back to my dorm.

I'm going to take the money to buy some daily necessities at the Buk Sai Dong shopping street. I live with the turnips, and usually where I put my money, the turnips are very clear. Where to put the money for turnips, I also know very well.

Radish is a little more cautious about the storage of money than I am. He would now be kept in a more secluded part of the dormitory, such as in a box under the bed, or in a clothes pocket and tucked into the closet. My money is kept in a casual way and is kept directly in the drawer of my computer desk, which is usually not locked.

I put more than 3,000 yuan and tens of thousands of yuan in the drawer, which may not be worth mentioning to the fat tiger. But for me, a poor student, it's not a small amount of money. The moment I opened the drawer, I realized that something was wrong, the drawer was clean, and there was not a dime left.

Turnips, my money was stolen. I said to the radish on the side. How could it be, didn't it put it somewhere else? No, I just put it in a drawer.

Let's look for it, my money won't be stolen too, right? Radish hurriedly got under the bed and found that the box under the bed was still there. Opening the box, Radish breathed a sigh of relief, his money was not missing.

I searched around the dorm again, but I still couldn't find my money. At this point, I was sure that my money had been stolen. I analyzed it with Radish for a long time and concluded that it was an acquaintance who committed the crime. The other party is very familiar with our life, after he arrived at our dormitory, he did not rummage through the cabinets, there was no trace of outsiders coming, the other party came directly to my drawer.

I didn't lose my laptop with Radish, so it can be seen that the other party just asked for cash. When we went to school that day, the dormitory door was not locked, allowing thieves to take advantage of it. From the time the other party entered the dormitory to the time he left, the time to commit the crime was very short.

Radish and I listed several suspects, but there was no evidence. Finally, I told Xiaoxue about it. Xiaoxue was deeply sympathetic to my plight and advised me to call the police. I didn't want to make a big fuss, thinking that the stolen money wasn't too much, so I should have bought a lesson.

But Xiaoxue felt that she couldn't forget it, so she called all the dormitory students and told everyone about my loss of money. I asked everyone very bluntly, who had come to my dormitory in the morning.

Xiaoxue said, everyone, if anyone takes the money and hands it over now, the consequences will not be very serious. If the police are called and the people's security finds out, the consequences are difficult to say.

At the time, I thought, if it was really the dormitory students who stole it, I wouldn't blame them too much, because many North Korean students are really difficult to live. Uncle Jin was the first to say that he had never come to our dormitory.

Other dormitory students also said that they had never come to our dormitory. Uncle Jin's family conditions are not good, and he has a good relationship with us, and I believe in his character very much. In the end, with the assistance of Xiaoxue, Uncle Jin and others, I chose to call the police. The police in North Korea are not called police, but people's security.

When waiting for the arrival of the people's security guards, we did not enter the dormitory again, so as not to damage the crime scene. After waiting for more than an hour, five or six people's security guards came to our dormitory. They brought pens and paper, questioned me first, and took notes. Then he questioned Radish and some North Korean students.

After understanding the basic situation, the people's security guards entered the dormitory for inspection. They took pictures of dormitory doors, balconies, and cabinets, and then used a primitive method to extract fingerprints, which I have only seen in some TV dramas.

Originally, I thought that the people's security would cordon off the apartment and then enter each dormitory and search it, but in fact it was not. Perhaps because this building is an apartment for foreign students, it is a little inconvenient for the North Korean people's security to move.

The people's security guard was busy in the dormitory for more than half an hour, and he added a few questions and asked us questions. When I learned that our dormitory was not locked, the people's security guard reminded me that I must lock the door when I go out in the future.

Because of this building, in addition to North Korean students, there are many foreign students, and the personnel situation is more complicated. Of course, I understand the overtone of the people's security, what they mean is that the theft of my money is not necessarily a North Korean student, it is likely to be a foreign student. And from their tone, you can hear that they trust North Koreans more and think that our foreign students have a complicated background.

In short, after completing a series of inquiries, several people's security guards left. The words left for me were waiting for notifications, and I left my mobile phone number and dormitory phone number. Until I left North Korea, no security guards contacted me, and the theft of my money was over.

To be honest, I'm a little disappointed with the security of the North Korean people. My money was stolen, and I was still a little sad inside. After arriving in North Korea, we have already paid for tuition, accommodation and food. The thousands of dollars are mainly used to buy daily necessities. So although the money was stolen, I still didn't worry about eating and drinking.

Later, Radish and I speculated that it might have been stolen by the aunt who cleaned the apartment. Of course, we only suspect it privately, because no one has seen it with their own eyes.

Actually, the cleaning aunt is very good to us, sometimes the dishes and chopsticks are too lazy to wash, they will take the initiative to help us wash. They are only responsible for the sanitation of the corridors and corridors, but if they see that our dormitory is messy, they will also help clean and tidy up. I am grateful to them and Radish.
