A Kuomintang spy infiltrated the house of the Yi leader and was shocked when he found a letter: the signature was Liu Bocheng

"He actually fornicated with Liu Bocheng?"

In 1941, a Kuomintang spy quietly infiltrated the residence of Xiao Yedan, the leader of the Yi nationality, and found a letter from his study, and the content of the letter surprised him.

The letter was written by Liu Bocheng to Xiao Yedan, and in the letter, Liu Bocheng made relevant arrangements for the anti-Japanese united front, which was obviously a bombshell.

The spy immediately handed the letter to the Sichuan warlord Deng Xiuting.

Soon, Deng Xiuting sent a large number of troops to attack Xiao Yedan's cottage on the grounds of threatening the security of the Kuomintang.

So, as a minority leader, how did Xiao Yedan get to know Liu Bocheng?

In the frenzied encirclement and suppression of the Kuomintang, how can he protect his cottage?

Maybe many people are not familiar with Xiao Yedan, but in the hearts of the Yi people, he is a legendary hero.

In 1894, Xiao Yedan was born in the family of the leader of the Guoji cottage of the Yi nationality in Mianning, Sichuan, and his family has a high prestige in the local area.

When he grew up, he also inherited the glory of the family and became the leader of the Yi cottage.

Because of the traditional education of the family since childhood, Xiao Yedan is not only bold and brave, but also has an upright character and compassion.

At that time, the Kuomintang did not regard ethnic minorities as human beings at all, and the Nationalist government repeatedly bullied the Yi people, which also caused Xiao Yedan's extreme indignation.

In 1935, the Kuomintang carried out a frantic encirclement and suppression of the Central Red Army, and Liu Bocheng and Nie Rongzhen led the Central Red Army to prepare to cross the Dadu River by passing through the Yi area.

When he arrived in Mianning, Xiao Yedan learned that it was this army, which was to fight the Central Red Army of the world for the common people, so he organized the villagers to take out all the clothes and food at home to support the Red Army team on the verge of exhaustion.

Subsequently, he also organized some local Yi villagers who were good at communication to do propaganda for the Red Army, so that people of insight could join the Red Army and expand the ranks of the Red Army.

Seeing that Xiao Yedan was so active in supporting the revolution, Liu Bocheng was very moved, so he put forward an idea to bow down to Xiao Yedan.

In this way, under the witness of all the villagers of the Yi Guoji Cottage, Liu Bocheng and Xiao Yedan became brothers.

In 1941, a political commissar of the Eighth Route Army who was fighting against Japan in the Yi area was kidnapped by the local warlord Deng Xiuting.

After learning the news, Xiao Yedan immediately sent someone to inquire about the news, and then heard from a Kuomintang adjutant that as long as he spent 1,500 taels of silver, he could redeem the political commissar in his personal name.

So, Xiao Yedan relied on his influence in the local area to raise silver taels everywhere, and finally collected the ransom.

Then, Xiao Yedan personally took the silver two and came to Deng Xiuting's door to ask for a meeting.

After all, Xiao Yedan has a certain prestige in the local area, and Deng Xiuting was afraid of Xiao Yedan's power, so he took the money, gave Xiao Yedan a face, and handed over the political commissar of the Eighth Route Army to Xiao Yedan.

But this incident also made Deng Xiuting extremely unhappy in his heart, and he wanted to find an excuse to receive all the forces of Xiao Yedan under his command.

So, he sent a spy to find out Xiao Ye Dan's handle, so as to attack Xiao Ye Dan openly.

When the spy handed Liu Bocheng's letter to Deng Xiuting, Deng Xiuting immediately made the contents of the letter public, and attacked Guoji Cottage on the grounds of "colluding" with the Communist Party and threatening the Kuomintang.

For a time, the smoke of gunpowder inside and outside the cottage was filled, and the common people hid in Tibet when they heard the sound of artillery.

Seeing all this, Xiao Yedan knew that if he continued to resist, countless villagers would definitely die.

So, he ordered the troops to stop resisting and sue for peace with the Kuomintang.

In the end, Xiao Yedan took out 10,000 taels of silver and more than 100 head of livestock, asked the Kuomintang to withdraw the army, and then he was willing to be taken away by the Kuomintang.

Before being taken away, Xiao Yedan took out the red flag that Liu Bocheng personally gave back then, and asked his wife to protect this banner that witnessed the friendship between the Yi people and the Red Army.

Then, he walked calmly and righteously towards the Kuomintang soldiers.

Looking at Xiao Ye Dan, who was handcuffed and shackled, the villagers all shed tears, they knew that their leader had made such a decision to avoid the villagers from being slaughtered.

In prison, Xiao Yedan faced the coercion, temptation and torture of the enemy, and never changed his faith.

The enemy saw Xiao Yedan's resolute attitude of treating death as home, and thought that there would be no benefits to be squeezed from him, and if he was killed, it would inevitably cause a riot among the Yi people, so he released Xiao Yedan.

Xiao Yedan, who returned to the cottage, continued to lead the Yi people in a desperate struggle against the reactionaries.

At the dawn of 1942, Xiao Yedan was unfortunately shot and died in the struggle between the people and the enemy.

Although Xiao Yedan is gone, his spirit has always inspired the Yi people and not bowed to the evil forces.

In 1950, the People's Liberation Army liberated the people of Xichang and Liangshan Yi areas in one fell swoop, and finally ushered in a new world of peace and tranquility.

At that time, Liu Bocheng instructed Liang Wenying, the commander of the liberation of Xichang, to find Xiao Yedan and invite him to come to Chongqing to serve.

Liang Wenying searched several times, and finally got the news that Xiao Yedan had died.

Liu Bocheng was very sad when he learned that Xiao Yedan was not only a revolutionary hero, but also his brother, he said: "Xiao Yedan's sacrifice is not only a great loss for the Yi people, but also a great loss for the Communist Party. ”

In the days that followed, Liu Bocheng began to look for Xiao Yedan's descendants.

Not long after, Xiao Yedan's wife sent the government a red flag given to her by her husband, which she had been sewing into her skirt, so she evaded the Kuomintang's search.

In the end, this red flag was treasured in the Military Museum of the Chinese Revolution and became a historical witness of the ethnic minorities' single-minded devotion to the Communist Party.

But after several wars, Xiao Yedan's descendants are nowhere to be found, Liu Bocheng never gave up the search before his death, but until his death in 1986, he failed to do so.

Later, the identity of Xiao Yedan's grandson Shen Jianguo was confirmed, and when State Councilor Li Tieying learned about it, he immediately gave instructions to let Shen Jianguo come to Beijing to go to school.

After studying in a well-known middle school in Beijing, because Shen Jianguo's educational foundation in Liangshan was weak, the school's teachers specially tutored him for his homework, and his classmates also cared for the descendants of this revolutionary ancestor.

In the end, Shen Jianguo was admitted to the university with excellent grades.

But after graduating, he gave up the opportunity to stay in Beijing and returned to Liangshan to serve his hometown.

My grandfather made immortal contributions to the country and the people during the revolutionary years, and my children and grandchildren also inherited the revolutionary spirit of their ancestors in the peaceful years.

And the country's earnest concern for the descendants of the ancestors can also comfort the souls of the revolutionary ancestors in heaven.
