On February 4, the 7,500-space LNG dual-fuel vehicle ro-ro ship built by Mawei Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of Fujian Shipbuilding, successfully completed the stern door hoisting onto the ship and was electrically deployed.

The stern door is an important key system for automobile ro-ro ships, and its assembly and installation quality is directly related to the normal and reliable operation of automobile ro-ro loading and unloading ships. The stern door is large in volume (45.095 meters ×14.660 meters), with a total weight of about 300 tons, and is divided into three sections: A/B/C.

In view of the construction difficulties, the shipbuilding department conducted in-depth digestion and exchange discussions with the R&D and design institute, relevant construction departments and manufacturers in advance on the stern door installation drawings and processes, and planned the site, tooling, construction plan and other related work in detail in advance. At the same time, the shipbuilding department overcame the problem of labor shortage before the Spring Festival, carried out the assembly work immediately after the stern door was painted in sections, and arranged for the management personnel and construction team to work overtime to rush the construction period to ensure the smooth hoisting of the stern door.

With the joint efforts of personnel at all levels, the stern door of the ship was successfully assembled, hoisted and electrically deployed on February 4, and it took only 7 days after the sectional painting. Among them, the installation accuracy of the A-section folding winch eye plate and pin shaft is up to ±1 mm, the coaxiality of the two pairs of main hinge eye plates is ±0.5 mm, and the plane accuracy of the rubber groove of the door frame is 12 mm, which successfully completes the installation of the stern door.
