Lin Daiyu has a very important character in "Dream of Red Mansions", the novel is about the rise and fall of Jiafu, and the expansion is the rise and fall of the four major families, and then expanded to the rise and fall of the four kings and eight dukes, and the second duke of Ningrong in Jiafu is ranked as the eighth duke. But these four families, or the four kings and eight princes, are all the founding ministers of the country, but the Lin family is the representative of Wenzhi and is not among them.
The novel says that the ancestors of the Lin family attacked the liehous, and it should have been hereditary for three generations, Lin Ruhai's father is the fourth generation, and there is no longer a title, because the emperor is particularly favored, so he made an exception and attacked another generation, to Lin Ruhai, it is the fifth generation, Jiafu to Jia Jing, Jia Amnesty, and Jia Zheng are the third generation, so the foundation of the Lin family is much deeper than that of Jiafu or the four kings and eight dukes.
Or it can be said that Cao Xueqin wrote two more generations of the Lin family than Jiafu and so on, because he wanted to express that the Lin family had crossed dynasties and cycles, and this leap was because of the poetry and ritual genes of the Lin family, after all, the feudal society has been thousands of years old, and the acquisition of state power depends on force, and the governance of the country depends on culture and civil officials.
Lin Ruhai is a former detective, who has been in charge of the country's highest academic institution, and is a doctor of Lantai Temple. The reason why Cao Xueqin made his surname Lin was because Wenqu Xing Bigan lived in seclusion in Changlin Mountain to avoid trouble, so his descendants were surnamed Lin. Therefore, the Lin family is a demonstration, which is a very important theme for Cao Xueqin to write "Dream of Red Mansions".
This is a very important uniqueness of Lin Daiyu among the characters of the Red Mansion.
This is a political issue, or why did Jiafu decay? Why did the four major families disappear? Why did the Four Kings and Eight Princes disappear? Why did this last world inevitably go into decline? The novel gives you a model and an example that you should learn from, that is, the Lin family, but these people don't understand, the descendants of these martial artists have no culture, and these families have not completed the cultural transformation.
When Lin Daiyu came to Jiafu, readers watched her enter Rongguofu from the West Corner Gate, so they came to a conclusion: Rongguofu snubbed Daiyu. This is a self-righteous conjecture of feudal etiquette.
The two mansions of Ningrong are all built, that is to say, these two mansions are built by the royal family, and they are naturally built in accordance with the regulations of the title of the duke, and the political value of the gate of the mansion is greater than the practical value, or in other words, the gate is closed all year round, and only when major political figures arrive or major political activities, the gate will be opened once, such as the provincial concubine of the provincial concubine, when she wants to carry the concubine Niangniang's Luan Yu into the palace, the door is open.
And Lin Daiyu is the daughter of Jia Min, Miss Jia Fu, even if Jia Min goes back to her parents' house, the door will not be opened, this is a family matter, Lin Daiyu's entry into the house is equivalent to Jia Min's return to her parents' home, and politics is not next to each other.
But Cao Xueqin obviously wants to remind the reader that the Lin family is a demonstration and comparison compared with the Jia family and the Four Kings and Eight Princes Group; when Lin Daiyu came to Jiafu, he immediately showed this very different contrast, so on the first day that Lin Daiyu entered the Rongguo Mansion, she entered the Rongxi Hall, and the original text wrote:

Sixteen Nanmu chairs on the ground, and there is a couplet, which is an ebony joint card, inlaid with chiseled silver handwriting, and the road is:
座上珠玑昭日月，堂前黼黻焕烟霞。

It is said that it is a hall, in fact, this building is more appropriate to say that the hall, the reader thinks about the two slips of sixteen Nanmu chairs, that is, the two rows of eight chairs on both sides of the middle hall, how much area is needed...... These royal attributes explain to the reader that the most important function here is a place to reflect the royal majesty and power, and the Rongxi Hall is not a place to live and live, it belongs to politics.
Lin Daiyu is the only woman in the whole "Dream of Red Mansions" who describes the woman who set foot in Rongxi Hall, and she also had a cup of tea here, and even all the female relatives of Jia's mother, Sister Feng and Ning Rong were written by the author to Rongxi Hall. Including Jia Zhenghui's guests, such as the chief historian of the Zhongshun Palace, Jia Yucun and others, either in his study, at most in the ear room of Rongxi Hall, the main room of Rongxi Hall, "Dream of Red Mansions" from beginning to end, should only be used once when the Yuan Concubine was provincial, but the novel does not describe it, after all, the main scene of the Yuan Concubine is in the Grand View Garden.
Lin Daiyu's image in the story of the Red Chamber seems to be completely out of line with politics, it seems that she completely belongs to the boudoir and belongs to the inner curtain, but only she has the closest connection with Rongxi Hall, she once really became a guest of Rongxi Hall, and when she eats tea, she is also the owner of Rongxi Hall.
There are many women in "Dream of Red Mansions" who have close political relations, Yuan Chun and Tanchun are both political figures and victims of politics, and the ladies represented by Jia's mother are also political figures, they not only participate in court weddings and funerals, but also important ties and participants in family contact, and they seem to have more political roles in the novel.
However, they and Lin Daiyu are two completely different types of people, just like the Four Kings and Eight Princes Group and the Lin family are two completely different types.
Lin Daiyu is the only person who can save Jiafu, she came to Jiafu, and Jia's mother made a series of actions to ask Daiyu to be Baoyu's future wife, so that the Lin family's poetry and family style, because Daiyu is the mother of Rongguo Mansion, will be inherited by Jiafu.
It's a pity that with the Xue family stationed in Rongguo Mansion, Jin Yu Liangyuan and Mu Shi Marriage launched a series of battles, and finally Dai died and married, and Jiafu lost the opportunity to transform from the Wuyin family to the family of poetry and books, and married with Shang Jia, bringing the grade of Jiafu to the next level.
Jia's mother asked Daiyu what medicine she was taking? Daiyu replied, "Ginseng Yangrong Pill." Daiyu can raise Rong and is willing to raise Rong, but unfortunately the illiterate people in Rongguo Mansion don't understand, they only have mouse eyes, quick success and quick profit, and their own little Jiujiu who can't take the table.
