As a major supplement to the US Inflation Reduction Act, the draft proposes that low-carbon hydrogen that meets the tax credit requirements needs to meet a number of requirements such as "supply of new clean energy power generation projects", "power supply in the same region", and "hourly matching of hydrogen production and power generation".

Recently, Dongfang Electric Hydrogen Energy (Panzhihua) Co., Ltd. was established with a registered capital of 1 million yuan. The business scope includes: sales of hydrogen refueling and hydrogen storage facilities for stations, energy storage technology services, sales of motor vehicle charging, centralized fast charging stations, etc. The company is jointly held by Dongfang Electric Group Dongfang Boiler Co., Ltd. and Panzhihua Huacheng New Energy Co., Ltd., both subsidiaries of Dongfang Electric. Plastic Omnium: With a total investment of 770 million yuan, hydrogen storage enterprises are deployed in Shanghai. On January 23, the mass production plant of Plastic Omnium Lanneng Type IV hydrogen storage cylinder started in Anting Town, Jiading, Shanghai. The plant is located in the Jiading Hydrogen Energy Port and will be put into operation in 2026. By then, up to 60,000 high-pressure hydrogen storage cylinders will be produced annually for the Chinese commercial vehicle market. It is reported that Plastic Omnium Blue Energy (Shanghai) Energy Technology Co., Ltd., the full name of Plastic Omnium Blue Energy Co., Ltd., is a joint venture company jointly funded by Plastic Omnium New Energy and Zhejiang Blue Energy, a subsidiary of Shenergy Group.
