Is Taiwan about to start living a hard life?
The mainland's imports to Taiwan plummeted

Recently, Taiwan released its own economic data, which cannot be said to be small, but can only be said to be good. First of all, let's look at the entire import and export situation of Taiwan Island. We see that although its imports and exports are still in surplus, with a surplus of nearly $80 billion, they have all fallen sharply, and the decline in its imports has decreased by nearly 17.8%.
And the most important point is that while Taiwan's exports fell by 9.8% year-on-year, its exports to the mainland fell by nearly 18.1%. It can be said that this magnitude is very huge. And the most important point is that last year's double-digit decline in imports from Taiwan Island was due to the decline in global commodities, and if the price of energy rises in the future, then they will be properly eating their old capital.
In such a situation, other countries cannot ask for it, but we in Taiwan believe that all this is due to his own merits, and it is because of Taiwan's science and technology and strong enterprise capabilities that it has earned such a large profit.
As everyone knows, all this is just voluntary for us. In terms of strong scientific and technological strength, Japan, South Korea and the United States are not stronger than Taiwan's scientific and technological strength, why are they all in deficit now?
To put it bluntly, let's let Taiwan Island. Give them more favorable economic policies than other countries. And we also allow Taiwanese companies to stay on the island without building factories on the mainland, and they can earn profits through low tax rates.
If this had been placed in the United States, it is estimated that the so-called Taiwan semiconductor factory and equipment would have moved to the United States long ago and contributed to the U.S. tax and economy.
And what about us? We have given up the market to them, left tax revenues and jobs on Taiwan Island, and we have also done everything possible to provide convenience to enterprises and individuals on Taiwan Island, so to speak, they have eaten more dividends than many people imagined.
However, in the end, it appeared, and the situation of smashing the pot after eating. In this case, we are determined to take action. If we say that in the past, we were a loving mother to Taiwan, then in the future, we will use strict father's means for Taiwan, so that he can understand how many catties and taels he has.
If they can't be financially independent but want to pursue independence, they can only say that it is time for Taiwan to sober them up. Of course, the first step to sobering up must be weaning, so that they know who was protecting them in the past. Let them feel the so-called free trade in Europe and the United States.
Therefore, without going through the wind and rain, they will never understand how good we are to them, and at the same time, they will not be grateful, and only by letting them hit their heads and bleed, they can really understand all this.
And the first thing we have to do is to cut off all the past concessions and make them pay for their actions.
The mainland is starting to move?
Planning and then acting, leading but not triggering, hair is like thunder, has always been our style of life. We have already done our best for Taiwan, but they are just bent on going their own way, so we naturally need to change our strategy.
It can be said that the concession of Taiwan Island has reached the point where many people oppose it. And there is nothing wrong with making profits, what is wrong is that Taiwan Island has eaten dividends, but it does not have any gratitude to us, but opposes us everywhere, which makes many people feel resigned.
Because we all know that the game between China and the United States has become more and more intense, and Taiwan, which is part of us, has an advanced semiconductor industry, so if it doesn't help us, it will still follow the United States to bully us. The most infuriating thing is that Taiwan uses its annual surplus of nearly $80 billion to buy US weapons against us.
This is absolutely intolerable. As the saying goes, don't open the house for three days. The current Taiwan Island can't say that the house has been lifted, but it can only be said that the house is going to be lifted.
As for whether Taiwan will be "impoverished" or "trapped in Taiwan," we have not made it clear whether we will be "impoverished" or "trapped in Taiwan," but one thing is that cross-strait economic and trade cooperation is based on a unified consensus. It can only be said that we have already given the opportunity, but Taiwan Island did not choose. Just like the ECFA, we have also given the other side the opportunity to gradually relax the relevant restrictions according to our investigations, has the other side done it?
There is no correction, and since there is no correction, then we can only follow the rules. And according to relevant information, 34 products will be removed from preferential tariffs next, and there will only be more in the future.
Therefore, for Taiwan, the so-called decline in trade is just the beginning, and it will only increase its efforts in the future until everything changes.
