On January 18, 2024, the "Glory of the Age, the Light of the Elderly-Wang Yiyang Chinese Painting Art Exhibition" opened at the Yanhuang Art Museum. The exhibition is organized by the Freehand Painting Institute of the Chinese Academy of Arts, and co-organized by Beijing Zhenpin Art Museum and other units.

Wang Yiyang was born and raised in 1931 on Gulangyu Island, Xiamen, Fujian Province, and his ancestral home is Dangshan, Anhui Province. He learned to paint at the age of 5 and was known as a "prodigy". He graduated from Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts in 1949 under the tutelage of Liu Haisu. He is good at landscape painting and figure painting. In the 50s, he has published more than 300 works in many newspapers and periodicals at home and abroad, and many of his works have won many awards at home and abroad and have been collected by many museums at home and abroad for decades.
His "Wild Grass Figure Paintings" give people a powerful and imposing spiritual shock, and the same is true of landscapes. This exhibition showcases more than 100 landscape paintings created by him, showing the diverse styles of China's landscapes with mountains and mountains, forests and verdant forests, clouds and mist, and drunkenness.

Mr. Shan Guoqiang, a former researcher at the Palace Museum, commented that Wang Yiyang's splashed color landscapes are rich in expression, and he also uses Western oil painting and watercolor light and shadow techniques in the expression of the more concrete texture of the mountain.
