A passenger plane from India crashed in the mountains of Topkhana, in the province of Badakhshan, Afghanistan

A passenger plane from India crashed in the mountains of Topkhana, Afghanistan's Badakhshan province, on January 21, according to CGTN Africa. Afghanistan's Ministry of Culture and Information said it had sent a team to investigate.

As of now, the cause of the accident is unknown.

It is reported that the flight will fly from India to Moscow, and it is unclear which airport, whether it will be a commercial flight or a charter flight.

There is also information that the flight disappeared from the air traffic control radar screen last night.

Badakhshan province is mountainous and desolate, and if the passenger plane does crash, it will be difficult to carry out search and rescue work.
