GIGABYTE has updated the motherboard instructions to confirm support for Ryzen 8000 series processors

Time flies, today is January 6, 2024, and the 2024 CES event is about to begin. It is reported that AMD will release a number of blockbuster new products at this event, including Ryzen 8000 series APU processors and several previous generation Ryzen 5000 series processors.

Ryzen 8000 series APU processors are aimed at friends who are interested in new installations, have certain requirements for graphics performance, and do not plan to go to a discrete graphics card, Ryzen 5000 series processors are still using the AM4 platform, do not plan to change platforms, but are interested in upgrading performance.

Relatively speaking, the Ryzen 8000 series APU processors have attracted more attention, and now many friends are very interested in the question of how strong the core graphics performance of AMD's new generation APU is, and the core graphics performance of the previous generation Ryzen 7 5700G is very good, so the expectations for the new product are very high.

While the news that AMD will be announcing the Ryzen 8000 series APU processors at the event is now largely confirmed, some motherboard manufacturers have also released corresponding motherboard BIOS updates to support these upcoming new processors.

However, the attitude of motherboard manufacturers is relatively low-key, and no motherboard manufacturer has come forward to officially and clearly explain this to the public, but now the situation has changed positively, and the well-known board manufacturer GIGABYTE has taken the lead and released the corresponding poster.

Recently, GIGABYTE's English website has revised and updated the promotional copy of some of its motherboards, including two models, namely the AORUS B650 Elite AX ICE and B650 GAMING X, and its X670 series motherboards have not yet been mentioned. In the introductory copy of both motherboards, the company made it clear that these motherboards support Ryzen 8000 series processors.

However, GIGABYTE has not yet listed any specific models of Ryzen 8000 series processors in the full CPU support list for these two motherboards, and it is expected that the full support list will be updated after AMD officially announces the Ryzen 8000 series processors.

Among the Ryzen 8000 series APU processors, the most graphic performance and the most attention is undoubtedly the Ryzen 7 8700G.

It is currently known that the Ryzen 7 8700G has 8 cores and 16 threads, 8MB of L2 cache, 16MB of L3 cache, a standard operating frequency of 4.2GHz, and a maximum operating frequency of 5.1GHz, equipped with a Radeon 780M core graphics, with 12 computing units, and a power consumption of 65W.

At present, it is estimated that the Ryzen 7 8700G's GPU performance may be twice that of the Ryzen 7 5700G, and at least comparable to the GeForce GTX 1650, which is very worth looking forward to.

GIGABYTE's public confirmation that its B650 motherboard supports the upcoming Ryzen 8000 series APU processors is good news, indicating that all the supporting preparations are now in place, everything is ready, just owe Dongfeng, just wait for the official release of AMD, I will share the latest news as soon as possible, so stay tuned.
