In a high-end restaurant in this bustling metropolis, nine fashionably dressed ladies sit in well-decorated private rooms, each confident and elegant, all of whom are known as the city's "celebrities".

They had just enjoyed a women's luncheon full of laughter and secrets. Precious champagne, a dazzling array of delicacies, every lady present seemed to enjoy the moment. It wasn't until the waiter appeared in front of them euphemistically with the bill that the joyful atmosphere suddenly froze.

Everyone politely rejected the "honor" of paying, and they put on surprised expressions, looked at each other, and snickered in their hearts: no one wanted to be the one who had to pay for it in this social game.

In this way, what was originally an elegant lunch turned into a silent battle. They talk about weather, fashion, and even recent investments, all in an attempt to make others waver first. But all nine ladies knew each other too well and none of them were willing to make concessions.

At last a "brilliant" proposal was made: why didn't they go out for a walk, and perhaps some generous gentleman would come to relieve them surrounded by their splendid splendour. The proposal was unanimously agreed, and they knew that there would always be "wrongdoers" in the city.

So, the nine "celebrities" walked out of the restaurant, found the most prominent spot on the sidewalk, and began their waiting game. They meticulously trim their outstanding, conversing softly, occasionally casting seductive glances. However, as the minutes passed, night began to fall, and the passing men either hurried by or cast curious glances, but none of them were willing to step forward.

As time passed, the lights in the restaurant gradually went out. The nine ladies began to look at each other, and the fantasy "wronged leader" did not appear. They realized that no one could win the gamble. In the end, they could only share the bill tacitly, and then tried to say goodbye gracefully, as if nothing had happened tonight.

This little story ironically shows a group of socialites trying to use social means to avoid responsibility, but in the end they don't get the desired results. It exposes the reality that relying on the generosity of others does not always work, and it also critiques the hypocritical game between seemingly glamorous people who are in fact unwilling to take responsibility. In social interactions, sincerity and autonomy are always the cornerstones of the road to respect and true friendship.
