Seeing that my classmates around me have a lot of topics to write about, and there is a steady stream of material and new and unique ideas available, I became more and more anxious.
I realized that I had to get the right solution and build a library of writing materials that was easy for me to use.
Many times, the difference between Xiaobai and a master of writing is not how high the talent is, but a strong material library.
01 Build a material library to improve writing efficiency
In June 2023, under the guidance of Mr. Peter, I started... Write a series of 22 new media writing lessons.
Since I don't usually accumulate much material, it took me nearly 60 days to write 3 days for one class and 22 first drafts for 22 classes.
You know, in 2021, Mr. Peter wrote "Building a Personal Brand: From Method to Practice", and it took only 50 days to write the first draft.
Why can he write so fast?
An important reason is that he has built a library of writing materials, and the ideas, materials, and ideas used to write books are all reserved.
By building a library of writing materials, you can improve your writing efficiency.
For people who often write articles, one of the headaches is: what to write today.
Sometimes, it takes half a day to find a topic, and it takes a lot of time to find a suitable title, case, and golden sentence.
It is difficult for a good woman to cook without rice.
If you usually see good topics, unique points of view, wonderful cases, and attractive golden sentences, they will all accumulate.
When you want to use it, you can call it in the writing library, and it will be faster to write.
02 Build a material library to improve the quality of writing
When writing, in order to make a point, we look for matching cases.
Just imagine, if you just search on the Internet temporarily, the case you find may be 70~80 points, which is not so accurate.
If you have a stock of materials, you may be able to find the most suitable case. A match between a case and an opinion of 90 points can improve the quality of the article.
When we participated in the writing bootcamp, a teacher asked us to write an essay and find 10 matching cases.
Why?
Write a point of view, if there is only one case, you can only use this one, there is no choice.
There are 10 cases, and you can pick the most suitable and matching case, and the argument of the article will be more exciting.
For an article, if the topic, title, beginning and end, core framework, viewpoint, case, golden sentence, etc., each part is 90 points, and the whole article is 90 points.

Pick a library of materials and solve the problem of what you write.
How do I find a topic?
You can go to the official account homepage to find a topic.
The current official account is a recommendation system, and the homepage of some good topic selection official accounts will be recommended to you.
Topics with eye-catching titles that fit your positioning and are well-read can be stored for later use.
Usually reading, thinking, listening to lectures, reading articles, and better topics can be put into the topic selection material library.
Mr. Peter suggested that at least 5 topics should be prepared in the topic selection material library.
002 Title Material Library
A good title not only attracts the reader's attention and gives the reader certainty, but also stimulates the reader's desire to click on the article.
So, from now on, create a new library of titles that is unique to you.
Record the popular titles you see, and it's best to record the number of likes, favorites and other information, and then analyze the title template.
For example, I used the title template "Why the Hell, Did You Start Writing? This Is the Best Answer I've Ever Heard!", and I wrote an essay "Why Do People Read? This Is the Best Answer I've Ever Heard."
003 Opinion Library
Fresh and unique ideas are something you need to collect and store.
Many times, you write better than others because your essay has a fresh point of view and a unique perspective.
The logic of the opinion material library is the same as that of the topic selection material library.
Usually you can record what you see, think, and think is good, put it in your opinion library, and think about where it can be used.
For example, in my library of opinions, I have written opinions such as "believe in the power of believing" and "please yourself" into my articles.
004 Case Library
A good point of view needs to be supported by a good case.
Before, my case library was full of cases and there was no classification, so it was not easy to find.
Mr. Peter suggested that the viewpoint material library and the case material library should be combined, and when searching for cases, specific cases should be found through the viewpoints.
When you think of a certain point of view, it is more logical to go to your point of view material library to find this point of view, and then find a case from the matching point of view below.
Usually record the good cases you see and put them under the point of view, so that you can call them at any time when writing.
005 Golden Sentence Material Library
A golden sentence is the finishing touch in an article and elevates the quality of the article.
In 2021, I dedicated several documents to collect and record the golden sentences that I think are important and may be useful, and classify them regularly.
If you are looking for golden sentences, you can find them from sentence control, famous words, books, articles, film and television dramas, classic advertisements, etc. If you want to search, you can search by keyword.
Recently, I used the golden sentences in my collection, such as "all greatness comes from a brave decision" and "courage is the best talent", in the article, which resonated with readers and promoted the forwarding of the article.
04 How to build a material library
My method of building a material library is a combination of fragmented accumulation and regular tagging.
I put the materials, golden sentences or copy-pasted content I saw in fragmented time in my WeChat and made a little note of what I thought at the time.
Every week or two, pick a fixed time to classify and sort out the materials accumulated in the WeChat group, label them, and store them in the document for easy retrieval later.
For example, my golden sentences are divided into different categories, such as parent-child education, personal growth, writing, etc.
Regularly browse through the assets in the library and think more deeply, and you will be able to uncover more valuable content.
