Autumn and winter is a critical period for wildlife diseases to be susceptible, easy to occur, easy to spread, Beijing Youth Daily reporter learned that in order to effectively block the possible source of infection and transmission routes, Fangshan District Landscaping Bureau strengthened the "four in place", concentrated on wildlife protection and epidemic prevention and control, and built a wildlife protection safety line.
The District Landscaping Bureau has formulated the Emergency Plan for the Epidemic of Terrestrial Wild Animals of the Fangshan District Landscaping Bureau to scientifically implement wildlife rescue and disease prevention and control. Coordinate the joint law enforcement actions of the "2023 Green Sword Operation" in the whole region, and form a strong deterrent situation to severely crack down on illegal and criminal acts of destroying wildlife and forest resources.
In 2023, a total of 644 people will be dispatched, 161 points will be inspected, 17 cases will be filed, and administrative penalties of more than 40,000 yuan will be imposed, and a total of 46 wild animals will be rescued.
The District Landscaping Bureau has given full play to the role of five municipal and district-level monitoring stations, strengthened the monitoring of 10 key areas such as the Xiaoqing River Basin, the Chongqing Reservoir in Qinglong Town, and the Heilongguan Section of the Dashihe River, expanded the patrol scope of full-time terrestrial wildlife protection inspection monitors, increased the frequency of inspections and inspections during the wintering, breeding, migration, and cluster activities of wild animals, and curbed the indiscriminate hunting of wild animals.
Giving full play to the advantages of the joint prevention and control work mechanism, the District Landscaping Bureau and the Forest Public Security Brigade of the Fangshan Public Security Bureau regularly inspect the farmers' markets, flowers, birds, fish and insects markets in the whole region, and cut off the channels for illegal operation and use of wild animals. Establish a ledger of wildlife breeding units in the region, do a good job of tracking and spot checks, and strengthen standardized management and breeding. Strictly implement the reporting system for epidemic source diseases, carry out active early warning for the susceptible, easy to occur, and easy to spread wild animal diseases, improve the ability to monitor epidemic sources and diseases, and maintain public health safety.
In addition, the District Landscaping Bureau has improved the management organization, enriched the personnel strength, made a good reserve of emergency materials, and improved the protection and management capabilities. Through extensive publicity activities, we will vigorously publicize laws and regulations on the protection of wild animals, raise public awareness of ecological protection, strengthen monitoring, prevention and control forces, and form a good situation of mass prevention and control.
In 2023, 10 wildlife publicity activities were held, with a total of more than 2,500 participants, more than 2,700 promotional materials were distributed, and a total of 393 wild animals were rescued. Among them, there are 4 national first-class key wild protected animals and 60 national second-class key wild protected animals, and there are no public health incidents caused by wild animals in the whole region.
