The section from Chengkou County to Beiping of Chengkai Expressway is the northernmost section of the expressway network in Chongqing, with complex geological conditions along the route and extremely high requirements for construction management, safety control and environmental protection. In particular, the Luojialiang Tunnel, a controlled project, has a maximum buried depth of 1,010 meters and crosses about 400 meters of the "City Bus Fault Zone". During the construction process, China Railway 12th Bureau and other participating units carefully organized and scientifically implemented policies to successfully complete the tunnel construction task and achieve the target task of opening this section to traffic ahead of schedule.

Hu Xuhui, general manager of the construction management department of Chongqing Expressway Group, secretary of the party committee and executive director of the consulting company, introduced that the remaining 7 kilometers of the remaining section from Beiping to Shaanxi-Chongqing Province of the Chengkai Expressway are also under construction, of which the 13.6-kilometer-long Dabashan Tunnel (including 5.4 kilometers of the Chongqing section) has been excavated to 73% of the total mileage, and strive to be completed and opened to traffic at the same time as the Shaanxi section by the end of 2025.
