The long ethnic struggle has left Rwanda in a difficult position

In the film, unarmed Rwandans are brutally slaughtered for more than 100 days, and more than 1 million Rwandans are killed in the massacre.

Rwanda is a very early state, having been founded since the 11th century.
At that time, the inhabitants of Rwanda, known as the Bantu people, had migrated from the Congo region and were believed to be the ancestors of the Hutu people. Around the 12th century, another group of people entered Rwanda and were called the Nilots, who are considered to be the ancestors of the Tutsi people.
Before the colonizers' invasion, the two communities lived at peace, but with the arrival of the colonizers, Germany occupied Rwanda, and after the defeat in World War I, Germany handed Rwanda over to Belgium.
The entry of the colonizers had a very big impact on Rwanda. Because the colonists were nicer to the Tutsis with whiter skin and taller stature, and even chose them as their spokesmen.
It was also from this time that contradictions between the Hutu and Tutsi began to emerge. The Tutsi were more closely related to the colonizers, so they had a higher status during the colonial period.
But with the outbreak of World War II, the Hutu people began to grow stronger, and the two sides began to compete politically.
In the end, the Hutu came to power. After coming to power, they retaliated against the Tutsis, who began to fight back.
It was against this background that the Holocaust began. In 1994, the Hutu carried out a genocide against the Tutsi that shocked the world, resulting in a sharp decline in the Tutsi population.
The massacre, which lasted for more than 100 days, brought Rwanda to a standstill, cast a shadow over the entire society, and brought development to a standstill. If ethnic tensions cannot be resolved, there will be no peace in Rwanda.
Kagame appeared to save Rwanda from fire and water
And when Rwanda was in trouble, there was one man who stepped up, and that was Kagame.
Kagame was Tutsi, but instead of hating the Hutu like other Tutsis, he realized that if Rwanda wanted to be peaceful, it had to resolve its fundamental contradictions.
In this way, after Kagame took power, the first thing he did was to erase the boundaries between the two races.
Since he took office, Rwandan people no longer have Hutu or Tutsi identity cards on their identity cards, so that there are far fewer contradictions between them. In addition to this, if the Rwandan people are to have a good life, the system needs to be changed.
As Kagame looked for a solution, he set his sights on China.
It has been less than 100 years since the founding of the People's Republic of China, but China's economic development has been very rapid. China's development process has given Kagame hope to save Rwanda.
