Zhu Xu's life experience
On a spring day in 1930, in a scholarly door in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, the first cry of a baby sounded, and Zhu Xu was born. He was the youngest child in the family, his father was a local army officer, and his mother was a lady.
Zhu Xu has shown extraordinary artistic talent since he was a child, and often runs to the only theater in the town alone, stopping to watch Sichuan Opera performances, and has developed a strong interest in dramatic art.
Every time he watched a play, Zhu Xu was always excited, reminiscing over and over again on the way home, and humming opera.
At the age of 19, Zhu Xu passed the exam as he wished, entered the North China University Art Team to study Xi performance, and officially embarked on the stage of his dreams. As soon as he entered the school, Zhu Xu was like a cow letting go of the rope and plunging into intense and heavy professional Xi.
He is diligent and studious, and has a very strong ability to absorb theoretical knowledge of acting. At the same time, Zhu Xu participated in the touring performances of the school's art team, and appeared on stage in Tianjin and other places many times, accumulating practical experience.

In 1952, Zhu Xu left school and officially joined the Beijing People's Art Theater. This was an important turning point in Zhu Xu's stage career. Zhu Xu, who grew decisively in Renyi, chose to debut as a small supporting role, starting from the trick and honing his basic skills in many dramas.

In 1957, Zhu Xu ushered in the sweetest moment of his life. He married his girlfriend Song Fengyi, who had been in love for many years, and the two tied the knot. Zhu Xu's family changes

Zhu Xu happily held his son in his arms, but just as he was looking forward to a better future, the results of his son's physical examination broke his heart - Zhu Xiaolong suffered from congenital deafness in both ears.
Four-year-old Zhu Xiaolong can't speak yet, and he can't hear the outside world at all. Zhu Xu and his wife sought medical treatment everywhere, but their eldest son's deafness could not be cured after all.
Looking at his son with a normal IQ but unable to communicate with people normally because he was deaf, Zhu Xu blamed himself in his heart. He thinks it's all because he drinks too much and is obsessed with his eldest son.
In 1966, Zhu Xu's second son Zhu Xiaochuang was born. Zhu Xu anxiously waited for the results of the child's physical examination, for fear that his second son would repeat the same mistake. However, the nightmare came true, and the examination results showed that Zhu Xiaochuang also suffered from the same congenital binaural deafness as his eldest brother.
The two sons suffered from the same disability one after another, which was undoubtedly an even worse blow to Zhu Xu.
"It's my damn alcohol addiction that hurt them, what a sin I've done......" Zhu Xu blamed himself deeply, feeling that his son's disability was completely caused by him.
Looking at his two deaf and dumb sons, Zhu Xu fell into extreme pain and guilt, and even had thoughts of suicide. His wife, Song Fengyi, was distressed when she saw her husband's self-abandonment, and persuaded him to cheer up and continue to work hard for the family.
Zhu Xu knew that what his wife said was right, and he couldn't just give up. He renewed his hope and resolved to develop his career while finding the best cure for his two sons.
Although a large amount of medical expenses were wasted, and the deafness of the two sons was not cured in the end, Zhu Xu and his wife did not give up, and they did their best to make the two disabled sons live a decent and happy life.
Zhu Xu's acting peak

At first, Zhu Xu only participated in the performance of some supporting roles in dramas, but he quickly gained a firm foothold again with his excellent acting skills. In the early 80s, Zhu Xu shined on the drama stage and starred in many classic drama plays, which were highly praised by the audience and critics.
He also began to try his hand at drama directing, and wrote and directed the drama "Delivering Food", which was a sensational success.
In 1982, 52-year-old Zhu Xu decided to break through his comfort zone and switch to the film and television industry. When he made his debut on the big screen, he was deeply rooted in the hearts of the people as an old artist.

Zhu Xu's old age

In 2015, Zhu Xu's wife unfortunately passed away, and at the age of 86, he lost the love of his life. Zhu Xu fell into unprecedented pain, and also picked up the wine bottle that he hadn't touched for many years.
He drank silently alone, using alcohol to dispel the sorrow in his heart. Seeing his father's painful appearance, the disabled sons took the initiative to take care of his life, reminding him that there was still a family waiting for him.
In 2018, 88-year-old Zhu Xu passed away due to illness. In the last moments of his life, he looked at his two sons, still remorseful for his drunken behavior in his youth.
He tearfully said to his two sons: "It's Dad who is sorry for you, if it wasn't for my alcoholism, maybe you wouldn't have a disability." The sons shook their father's hand and begged him not to blame himself.
