The official sports of the Chengdu World Games are: aerial sports, archery, billiards, bocce ball, canoeing, sports dance, Faust ball, soft hockey, frisbee, beach handball, jiu-jitsu, kicking, Dutch basketball, lacrosse, water lifesaving, Muay Thai, orienteering, short-handled squash, squash, softball, rock climbing, martial arts, finswimming, gymnastics, karate, powerlifting, tug-of-war, roller skating, water skiing and Sambo, which will make its World Games debut!
In addition, the following sports will also be featured at the Chengdu 2025 World Games: cheerleading (double flower ball), roller skating (freestyle skating), canoeing (dragon boat), triathlon (triathlon), American football (flag football), jet skiing (power surfboard) and para sports: Para Jiu-Jitsu, Para Freediving, Wheelchair Rugby, Para Sports Dance (TBD). Among them, jet skiing, cheerleading, para jiu-jitsu, para diving and para sports dance will make their debut at the World Games.

1. FPV drone racing

In a first-person drone race, athletes control small, small, hand-built remote-controlled quadcopter helicopters, with a forward-looking camera transmitting live video to the pilot's glasses. The paraglider takes off on a windward slope and is 10 meters long with a slope of about 15 degrees. Take-off must be directed towards the wind, and the pilot controls the wings to begin accelerating take-off after the overhead is inflated. The paraglider can turn freely. The paraglider has a brake cord that is attached to the tail end of the wing. The maneuvers performed by the participants in the paragliding stunt competition include spinning, diving, helicopting, SAT (i.e., the pilot and wings rotate around a central point), continuous loops, etc. Particularly spectacular is when two paragliders perform at the same time, sometimes touching the wings in thrilling moves, these are known as the Syncro duo. Contestants are scored based on the number and difficulty of the movements they have successfully completed. A clean, precise, and smooth flight will be scored accordingly. Each pilot or tandem completes a series of freestyle maneuvers.
3. Bocce ball
1. Large metal bocce ball
The large metal bocce ball is divided into two sub-events, accurate throwing and continuous throwing, which require athletes to throw metal balls weighing up to 1 kilogram at a distance of several meters and accurately hit the target, which tests the accuracy of the athletes.
2. Small metal bocce balls
Small metal bocce balls, also known as pétanque, are very popular in France. There are many pétanque courts in the streets and alleys, and even restaurants have special venues. Small metal bocce balls are slightly smaller in size than large metal balls, and although the field is paved with a mixture of gravel and sand in regular competitions, it can be played on any type of field as long as the ball throwing distance is ensured in normal training.
4. Faustian ball
Faust is a team game in which two teams of 5 players each hit the ball with their fists above the net. The goal of each team is to hit the ball over the net so that the opponent cannot shoot back, similar to the game of volleyball. If one side fails to fight back, the other side will score one point. Unlike other net-wide adversarial sports, the ball is allowed to bounce on the ground once before it is hit. It can bounce once before each touch, and up to three bounces are allowed.
5. Soft hockey
The court setup is similar to that of ice hockey, with each team having 6 players on the court at a time, including the goalkeeper. The pitch is 40 metres long and 20 metres wide, with at least 2 metres of vacant space around it and a height of at least 7 metres. The pitch boundary wall marks the playing area of the pitch and includes two goalkeeper areas, a centre line, a centre point, and six standoff points (at each corner and near the centre line of the pitch).
The goal is 160 cm wide and 115 cm high. Both goals have a 4m x 5m goal area around them, and there is a smaller goalkeeper area within the goal area that only goalkeepers can enter.
6. Jiu-Jitsu (routines, fighting, sleeping skills, Jiu-Jitsu for the disabled)
Jiu-Jitsu is a method of hand-to-hand combat and self-defense. Using the opponent's power and direction to control the opponent's attack allows the jiu-jitsu fighter (athlete) to control the opponent's balance and thus prevent the opponent from resisting counterattacks. The World Games offer three Jiu-Jitsu competitions: Taolu, Fighting, and Sleeping. and the Paralympic Committee program: Para Jiu-Jitsu.

8. Dutch basketball (indoor, beach)
Dutch basketball is a co-ed ball game in which the ball is played with the ball by hand, and is divided into two teams of eight players each. According to the venue setting, it can be divided into indoor lotus ball and beach lotus ball. The goal is to throw the ball into a netless and no-board basket mounted on a 3.5-meter high pole.

9. Water skiing

10. Kuwabo (搏斗)
Sambo means "self-defense without weapons" and is a kind of self-defense technique with bare hands. It was widely developed and disseminated in the 15 republics of the former Soviet Union as the national art of the former Soviet Union. In fact, Sambo and Judo are very similar in many places, but it absorbs and develops many techniques and joint skills that Judo does not have, especially the joint skills of the legs are very strong.

11. Wheelchair rugby
Wheelchair rugby is a group ball game specially designed for people with severe physical disabilities, and the athletes participating in the game are mainly athletes with cervical spine injuries, in addition to the lower limbs must rely on wheelchairs, the upper limbs also have different degrees of disabilities.
Wheelchair rugby usually chooses a basketball court as the playing field, which is 15 meters wide and 28 meters long, however, it is only necessary to draw the sidelines, end lines, center lines and center circles. The ball used in the game is a standard white volleyball with a circumference of 65~67 cm and a weight of between 260~280 grams. Each game is divided into 4 quarters of 8 minutes each, with a 1-minute break after the 1st and 3rd quarters. The intermission is 5 minutes. In the event of a tie, 3 minutes of extra time will be played. Each team has 4 timeouts of 1 minute each and 1 timeout in extra time. During the game, players can move the ball on their thighs, pass the ball directly to their teammates, and pass the ball to the ground. However, the player must make a pass or dribble within 10 seconds, and the ball carrier must pass or dribble the ball across the halfway line within 15 seconds to reach the opposing half. In the end, the team with the most points in the match wins.
