On December 25, the reporter learned from the China Workers Development Foundation that the second batch of earthquake relief materials of the China Workers Development Foundation had arrived in Gansu and Qinghai on December 24, and warm materials such as quilts, cotton coats, sleeping bags, and life support materials such as love water, instant noodles, bread, vegetables, and toiletries were distributed to the affected people.
On December 18, a 6.2-magnitude earthquake struck Jishishan County, Linxia Prefecture, Gansu Province, which caused serious damage to the local area, including some water, electricity, transportation, communications and other infrastructure, and Haidong Minhe County, Hualong County, and Xunhua County in Qinghai Province were also damaged to varying degrees.
After the disaster, in accordance with the deployment arrangement of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, the China Workers Development Foundation immediately activated the emergency response mechanism, and united trade unions at all levels and caring enterprises to carry out disaster relief material support in Gansu and Qinghai.
On December 19, the China Workers Development Foundation issued an initiative to caring enterprises and caring people, and jointly launched the "Gansu Qinghai Earthquake Relief Public Welfare Action" with the Gansu Provincial Federation of Trade Unions and the Qinghai Provincial Federation of Trade Unions to raise funds and materials to support the local earthquake relief.
It is reported that the China Workers Development Foundation, together with local trade unions, caring enterprises and caring workers, has raised more than 20 million yuan in donations. The China Workers Development Foundation will continue to carry out disaster relief fundraising and deliver love from all walks of life to the disaster area in a timely manner.
