On the banks of the Xizhi River in Huizhou, there is a village that has a close relationship with the hero Wen Tianxiang. The villagers of this village are surnamed Wen, and their ancestors are Wen Tianxiang's younger brother - Wen Tianqiu. For more than 700 years, the Wen villagers in Longtang Village, Ma'an Town, Huicheng District, have inherited the legacy of loyalty and filial piety of the Wen brothers, and have been known as the "Loyalty and Filial Piety Cultural Village" of Huizhou.
Enjoy rape fields in spring and top fruits in summer, and there is still a nearly 400-year-old Wen clan ancestral hall in the village...... In recent years, based on the culture of loyalty and filial piety, Longtang Village has embarked on a new path of high-quality development integrating agriculture, culture and tourism, and carved quality nostalgia among green mountains and green waters.
Planning and guidance to enhance the rural landscape
Drive more than 10 kilometers along Huizhou Avenue from the city center, and then pass through a large area of farmland, and the village road with clear markings and clean roads leads all the way to the destination - Longtang Village. As early as 2013, Longtang Village was ranked among the forest home construction sites in Huizhou City, and in 2020, it was successively rated as a civilized village in Huicheng District and an ecological demonstration village in Huizhou City.
In recent years, on this 6.2 square kilometers of land, beautiful butterfly changes have been staged one after another: Longtang Village has achieved full coverage of village garbage collection points, established a "red and black list" evaluation and a clean and tidy model household evaluation system, regularly evaluated and announced, driven by advanced demonstrations, and rectified deficiencies in backwards, forming an environmental sanitation work pattern in which the whole village works together and makes joint efforts. At the same time, the village has accelerated the "toilet revolution" to upgrade 554 household toilets, build new tourist public toilets, and actively improve rural domestic sewage treatment facilities.
In addition, Longtang Village also combines its own characteristics to transform and upgrade important nodes, improve quality development, create a Longtang landscape of "one axis and eight scenes", unify the identity of the whole village, and build at least a small park for each of the six districts of the village to provide a place for leisure and entertainment for the villagers.
Cultural empowerment and cultivation of rural civilization
In Longtang Village, Ma'an Township, villagers often sit together to listen to the village elders tell the story of Wen Tianxiang's loyalty to the country and Wen Tianqiu's filial piety under the century-old banyan tree. In-depth excavation of "loyalty and filial piety" cultural resources, with the traditional "loyalty and filial piety" culture to educate, enrich the people, and enjoy the people, continue the culture of loyalty and filial piety, and cultivate civilized rural customs, good family customs and simple folk customs, "loyalty and filial piety lecture hall" is the epitome of cultural empowerment of civilized rural construction.
"We carry out theme activities such as telling stories of loyalty and filial piety, inheriting good family customs and family mottos, and small docents, so that teenagers and children can be imperceptibly edified, practice loyalty, filial piety, elegance and sincerity, and let traditional culture take deep root in the hearts of children. Wen Ronghua, secretary of the general party branch of Longtang Village, introduced that in recent years, combined with the creation of boutique villages, Longtang Village has continuously increased investment, comprehensively upgraded the cultural landscape of Wen's ancestral hall, Longtang Ancient Temple, Lienu Temple, Tianxiang Park, etc., and added a number of square positions with the theme of loyalty and filial piety culture such as Family Style and Family Training Park and Zhongxiao Cultural Park in the village, which widely enhanced the overall cultural atmosphere of the village.
Walking in Longtang Village, the neat and straight village road shows the new rural appearance, and the Wen's ancestral hall, the hundred-year-old banyan tree, the Longtang Ancient Temple, and the Family Style and Family Training Park show the strong loyalty and filial piety culture of Longtang Village in an all-round way.
In addition, Longtang Village also combined with the beautiful countryside, human settlements and other activities, and actively carried out the selection activities of "star civilized households", good mothers-in-law and good daughters-in-law, etc., and publicized advanced deeds in the public column of the village to expand the demonstration effect; guided the establishment of the "Tianxiang Education Promotion Association" donated by the villagers, and donated more than 6 million yuan in 17 years, and issued scholarships and grants to college students above the undergraduate level, and more than 400 students received awards over the years.
Strengthen the village and enrich the people, and the industry is deeply integrated
The flesh is crisp and juicy, with a rose scent, and in recent years, a grape called Sunshine Rose has taken the global market by storm. Last year, this high-end fruit was sold for more than 100 yuan per catty in the Huizhou market. In the planting base of Huizhou Shennong Lanxianggu Ecological Agriculture Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Shennong Lanxianggu") located in Longtang Village, high-quality sunshine roses inject a steady stream of power into the rich people of Qiangcun.
In recent years, the "two committees" of Longtang Village have actively introduced social forces to join the construction of rural industries. "We transfer the land of each household to the villagers' group, and the villagers' group transfers the land to the village committee, so that the village committee can pool a large area of abandoned land to attract investment. Wen Ronghua told reporters that at present, Longtang Village has introduced 593 acres of Shennong Lanxiang Valley vineyards, 302 acres of smart future agricultural technology soilless cultivation vegetable base, 350 acres of dragon fruit plantations, 1408 acres of aquaculture, 380 acres of banana orchards, 320 acres of seasonal greenhouse vegetables, etc. In 2021, Longtang Village was awarded the title of "One Village, One Product, One Town, One Industry" in Guangdong Province by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Guangdong Province.
"The land utilization rate of our village has reached 95%, laying a good foundation for industrial development. Wen Ronghua introduced that next, Longtang Village will make full use of the resources and brand of the village, continue to effectively integrate local land resources, strengthen the collective economic income of the village, and drive the villagers to increase their income. In addition, the "two committees" of the village are actively planning to create a characteristic "agriculture, cultural tourism" service project combining urban and rural areas with the theme of modern ecological design and loyalty and filial piety cultural support, so as to help the development of the tertiary industry, and a number of constructions have begun to take shape.
