At the event, NIO's intelligent electric executive flagship ET9 was officially unveiled, with pre-sales starting at a price of 800,000 yuan, and deliveries will start in the first quarter of 2025. Specifically, the new car adopts an innovative flying body design, with a length of more than 5.3 meters, a width of more than 2 meters, and a wheelbase of more than 3.2 meters.
Moving to the interior, the ET9 creates an unprecedented mobile administrative space. The new car adopts the original executive four-seat layout, with the innovative "Sky Island" and "Executive Bridge" design, creating four exclusive first-class seating space experiences. Inside the "Executive Bridge", NIO has carefully designed a 360° infinitely adjustable executive table for the second-row passengers, which can be adjusted at any angle. The rear first-class seats of the NIO ET9 have 24 self-developed patented technologies, and the maximum backrest adjustment angle is 45°.
The new car is equipped with a "global 900V high-voltage architecture", including core electronic and electrical components such as batteries, motors, wiring harnesses, air conditioners, DC-DC, and on-board chargers, and has three world-leading highest voltages of 925V, peak charging power of 600kW, and peak charging current of 765A. The 900V supercharging system can achieve industry-leading performance by adding 255km to a full charge in 3 minutes or charging for 5 minutes.
At the technical level, the ET9 is the crystallization of NIO's full-stack technology layout and world-leading technologies, including 17 world-premiere technologies, 52 class-leading technologies, and 525 patents, defining a new standard for intelligent electric administrative flagships with innovative technology. NIO's ET9's "SkyRide Intelligent Chassis System" integrates the three core hardware systems of steer-by-wire, rear-wheel steering, and fully active suspension for the first time, and is currently the world's only fully intelligent chassis-by-wire.
In addition, at this year's NIO Day, NIO officially unveiled the fourth-generation battery swap station and 640kW fully liquid-cooled ultra-fast charging pile. Among them, the fourth-generation battery swap station supports multi-brand shared battery swapping, shortening the battery swap time by 22%, and is equipped with a rooftop photovoltaic system, saving nearly 18,000 kWh of electricity per station per year. In addition, according to Li Bin, NIO will continue to add 1,000 battery swap stations and 20,000 charging columns in 2024 to further improve the user charging experience.
