Wei Qing admired the talent of his father, so he recommended him in front of Emperor Wu of Han many times, but all of them were ignored by the emperor. When the main father stayed in the capital for a long time, the money he brought with him gradually ran out, and in a hurry, he went to the book and directly showed his ambitions to the emperor. It is said that the lord father was really lucky enough to write to the emperor in the morning to state nine suggestions, and at noon he was adopted by the emperor eight, and in the evening he was summoned by grace, and thus stepped into the career.
Among the eight suggestions adopted, emperor Wu of Han was most interested in the "Tui En Order" intended to weaken the power of the princes. After the "Rebellion of the Seven Kingdoms", although the Han Dynasty took various measures to restrict the princes, their strength was still very large. For example, Emperor Wu of Han's uncle, Liu Wu the Prince of Liang, was comparable to tianzi in prestige every time he traveled, and he made hundreds of thousands of bows and arrows in the country, and the treasury even had more pearls and jade treasures than the capital, which always made it difficult for Emperor Wu of Han to sleep and eat.

In view of this, the lord father suggested that Emperor Wu of Han issue a "Tui En Order", allowing the princes to divide their fiefs among their sons and establish smaller princely states. In this way, during the reign of each generation of princes, they will face the problem of reducing their jurisdictions, and if they continue like this, in less than a few generations, the princes will no longer have the power to oppose the imperial court. The beauty of this strategy was that the imperial court could achieve the goal of weakening the princes almost at no cost, which was really a double victory.
Emperor Wu of han was very impressed with the content of the "Tuien Order", and immediately promulgated it in the form of a law throughout the country, and the main father was also appreciated for his meritorious service and was appointed by the emperor as Langzhong. After that, in less than a year, the main father was successively promoted to gurudwara, zhonglang, and zhongdafu. A few years later, the main father Made great contributions to helping Wei Zifu to seek the position of empress and exposing the ugly deeds of Liu Dingguo, the King of Yan, and was deeply valued by Emperor Wu of Han and Empress Wei.
The lord father was narrow-minded and discerning, and once he was founded, he retaliated against those who had excluded and humiliated him, and the courtiers bribed him with heavy money, either to prevent him from framing him or to curry favor with him for promotion, thus making the lord father rich. When a friend saw that the Lord's father was acting too arrogantly, he kindly advised him not to go to extremes and to learn to "leave a way back" for himself.
The Lord Father is narrow-minded and open-minded
As for the advice of his friend, the main father did not think much of it at all, and said in a loud voice: "The minister has been studying for more than forty years. I can't get it done, my relatives don't think I'm a son, Kundi doesn't accept it, the guests abandon me, and I'm stuck for a long time. And the husband is not born with five dings of food, and when he dies, he cooks five dings of ears. I am far away in the twilight of the day, so I have committed atrocities and acts of violence" (see "History of the Marquis of Pingjin's Father's Biography"). The lord father left no room for him to be so ruthless that in the end he could only incur the calamity of killing himself, and the incident that led him to self-destruction occurred in the country of Qi.
It turned out that after the main father's departure, he had sent someone to persuade Empress Ji of the State of Qi, hoping to send her daughter to the palace as a concubine, but was not only rejected by Empress Ji, but also humiliated. The main father was extremely angry, so he wrote to Emperor Wu of Han, claiming that the state of Qi was rich and strong, but the blood of the king of Qi was too distant from the emperor, and he had to send trusted ministers to supervise him to ensure that there would be no chaos. Subsequently, the main father Yan asked himself to be the Minister of Qi, and obtained the consent of Emperor Wu of Han.

As soon as the main father arrived, he searched around for the guilt of Liu Cichang, the king of Qi, and finally learned that he had an affair with his sister and had many filthy and ugly deeds. When the main father learned of these facts, he wrote to the imperial court and asked Emperor Wu of Han to severely punish Liu Cichang. However, before Emperor Wu of Han could issue a decision to punish him, Liu Cichang, terrified, committed suicide by drinking, and since he had no heirs, the State of Qi was abolished after his death, in the second year of Yuan Shuo (127 BC).
After the news of Liu Cichang's suicide came out, Liu Pengzu, the King of Zhao (the half-brother of Emperor Wu of Han), felt the same fear in his heart because he had previously insulted his main father and had committed many illegal acts in the feudal country. In order to prevent the main father from "opening the knife" on himself, Liu Pengzu decided to act first, causing people to report that the main father had accepted bribes from the princes, and asked Emperor Wu of Han to severely punish him. Emperor Wu of Han was furious when he received the report and immediately ordered the arrest of his father.
The Lord's Father was eventually exterminated
However, Emperor Wu of Han did not want to put him to death in view of the great merits of his father. However, at this time, Gongsun Hong, the political enemy of the lord's father, advised the emperor, claiming that if the main father forced the prince to die, if he was not put to death, it would be difficult to calm the anger in the hearts of the princes. Emperor Wu of Han thought twice, and finally agreed to Gongsun Hong's suggestion and ordered the extermination of his father. According to the historical records, when the lord father gained power, there were thousands of people who tended to be inflamed, but after he was exterminated, these people all cursed him.
