At 23:59 on December 18, 2023, a 6.2-magnitude earthquake occurred in Jishishan County, Linxia Prefecture, Gansu Province. The China Meteorological Administration reported that on the 19th, the Jishishan earthquake area and the surrounding areas were mainly sunny, and the minimum temperature from the second half of the night to the early morning was low, between minus 15 °C and minus 9 °C, and it felt cold.
It is understood that the second batch of emergency additional materials has arrived in Jishishan County, Gansu Province, including cotton tents, cotton coats (cold-proof clothing), quilts, folding beds, site lighting equipment, etc. As of 9 o'clock on the 19th, a total of 111,500 pieces of central disaster relief materials have been allocated to the earthquake-stricken areas of Gansu and Qinghai provinces, and fully support the disaster areas to do a good job in the temporary resettlement and living assistance of the affected people.
