NIO's 150-degree battery pack has a measured range of 1044KM!

According to the latest live broadcast footage, the NIO ET7 model equipped with a 150-degree battery pack has traveled 576 kilometers, with 48% remaining power, a comprehensive energy consumption of 13.8 degrees per kilometer, an ambient temperature of 7 °C, an interior temperature of 22 °C, and a speed of about 90 kilometers per hour.

According to the current news, NIO's 150-degree battery pack will bring a high-speed range of more than 1,000 kilometers, which is undoubtedly a milestone event. This means that the high-speed range of electric vehicles can already surpass that of fuel vehicles.

Previously, although many new energy vehicles announced that their battery life exceeded 1,000, most of them were range extender or plug-in hybrid models, and they still needed to rely on internal combustion engines to achieve such endurance results.

NIO's 150kWh battery pack was released at NIO Day in 2021, and now it is finally going to be mass-produced, which uses a solid-liquid hybrid electrolyte, which is a semi-solid-state battery.

For example, it is currently the largest capacity battery mass-produced for passenger cars in China, reaching 150kWh.

It is currently the world's highest mass-produced battery cell and whole pack energy density, which are 360Wh/kg and 260Wh/kg respectively, surpassing CATL Kirin battery (255Wh/kg).

It is currently the only battery cell anode in the world with a silicon content of 30%, and its volume is almost the same as that of a 100 kWh battery pack with a larger battery pack capacity.

It adopts the world's only non-thermal runaway pouch CTP battery, full potting design, all-round flame retardant design, and special profile flame arrester structure to achieve directional eruption, to achieve no thermal spread design, cooling is 6 times stronger than ordinary batteries, and the problem of spontaneous combustion is almost impossible to occur.

However, Qin Lihong, president of NIO, has revealed that the cost of NIO's 150 kWh battery is very high, and the cost is equivalent to that of an ET5 (328,000 yuan for the 75kWh battery version of the vehicle, 258,000 yuan for leasing). Therefore, the actual price of ET7 equipped with this battery may reach 600,000 yuan.

It is understood that this semi-solid-state battery, which was jointly developed by NIO and Weilan New Energy, will be the first to be installed on the ET7. The car will also be the longest-range car on the market.
