On the morning of December 17, at the first Nanchong "International Youth Love Birds and Protect Birds, Harmonious World and Ecological Nanchong" Bird Love Publicity Activity sponsored by the Nanchong Forestry Bureau, the college student who jumped into the river to save birds was commended as one of the advanced individuals who love birds and protect birds. On the day Kong Bing jumped into the river to save the birds, Wang Yuangang of the Nanchong Bird Rescue Station was also at the scene, even if it had been so long, he still remembered the scene of Kong Bing saving the birds.
At the event, Wang Yuangang told everyone about the incident and called on everyone to love birds and protect birds. Wang Yuangang said that he has rescued about 4,000 birds so far, but the story of Kong Bing jumping into the river to rescue wild birds still moves him the most and is also the most memorable.

He told the Red Star News reporter that he had graduated from college and was now working in a pet hospital in Chengdu.
