However, after an in-depth investigation, we found that this group is inextricably linked to the Philippine Navy, and that it is backed by money from pro-American political parties, which is clearly a farce manipulated by the United States.
When the mainland learned of this absurd plan, it reacted swiftly by issuing a stern warning to the Philippines and demanding that it immediately stop this ignorant and provocative act.
At the same time, the mainland coast guard has stepped up patrols and drills in the waters around Scarborough Shoal, ready to respond to any conflict that may arise and resolutely defend national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
According to reports, despite the uproar in the Philippines, only four commercial fishing boats actually dared to approach Scarborough Shoal.
However, they did not really get close to the island, and instead carried out a series of absurd posing activities in the sea 50 nautical miles from the island.
In addition, more than 100 small boats, surrounded by media teams, tried to approach Scarborough Shoal in an attempt to attract international attention.
However, anyone with a discerning eye can see that this is nothing more than a clumsy performance aimed at domestic audiences.
The Filipinos trumpeted their "success" on the domestic internet, but the reality slapped them in the face.
Although the "This Is Ours" group pretended to be secretive and claimed to keep it secret whether they would enter within 12 nautical miles of Scarborough Shoal, their actual actions exposed their timidity and hypocrisy.
In addition, the Philippine Coast Guard sent three ships to escort the farce in an attempt to cloak itself in legitimacy.
However, the self-proclaimed "huge" fleet came to an abrupt end shortly after departure, claiming to have completed the so-called first phase of the mission.
In fact, they didn't really approach Scarborough Shoal, but instead carried out ridiculous marking and photographic activities just 15 nautical miles from the Philippine mainland.
The fishermen received material compensation such as diesel and food, and it is clear that their participation in the operation was motivated more by the temptation of material gain than by genuine political or national will.
Most of the fishermen quickly returned to their starting point after completing this absurd "mission", while the few remaining commercial fishing boats were unable to move forward due to vessel breakdowns or close surveillance by the Chinese coast guard.
This ostensibly imposing operation turned out to be a botched hype farce.
Under the watchful eye of the Chinese Coast Guard, these vessels did not dare to actually approach Scarborough Shoal, which fully exposed their cowardice and hypocrisy.
This incident does not pose any substantive challenge to the sovereignty of Scarborough Shoal, but further highlights the absurdity and ridiculousness of the Philippine side's actions.
In the end, this so-called challenge to the sovereignty of Scarborough Shoal is just another failed attempt by the Philippine side to create a topic at home and abroad.
They used the China Coast Guard as a backdrop to pose and trumpeted their "successes" on social media, but this did not have any material impact on China's maritime control.
