Wuhan Hongxin Fishery Co., Ltd. is one of the largest fishery enterprises in Xinzhou District, with 600 acres of fish ponds, the main species is mandarin fish, supporting the breeding of grass silver carp four big fish, as well as dace and other conventional seeds. The price of mandarin fish has also dropped from the original 60 or 70 yuan a catty to 30 or 40 yuan a catty, and the decline in price has also made it more "close to the people" on the table. Mandarin fish is no longer "expensive", "swimming" to the local people's table.
In 2023, the company's mandarin fish fry industry will develop rapidly, with the total number of hatched mandarin fish fry remaining at 4 million, and the adult fish will be about 50,000 catties, which will be sold to Anhui, Hubei, Shanghai, Henan and other parts of the country. The empowerment of science and technology enables farmers to break the limitations of purchasing seedlings from Guangdong and other southern regions in the past, realize intensive farming, and the development of the mandarin fish industry in Xinzhou has entered a new era.
